“Almost like the real thing in Japan! The curry is so good. Only thing that would make it better is if you could order a spice level from 0-10, instead your options are mild or spicy which is a Japan 1 or 2 (weak spice). Staff is great too.
Oh, can’t dine in; there’s too much product that precludes you from dining in.“

“If you have never tried 'Namaste Indian & Nepalese Cuisine' in Honolulu - you should have no hesitation whatsoever about ordering from here - it's 12/10 delicious! I had it for the first time tonight - hands down one of the best meals I've ever had! Lamb Masala & the Rogan Josh lamb dish was phenomenal. Naan was freshly made. Meat was SO tender. You definitely can tell that the ingredients are high quality with health benefits & cooked with a lotta love. I regret not ordering more (especially the mango lassi mmm...) I honestly could eat from here everyday & not feel guilty. This is the type of food that will heal you from the inside out lol. Fresh - healthy REAL food - tons of amazing flavors - warms the soul! Just added to my Top 5 favorites on Oahu! Go order now!!“

“Highly recommend taking your own bottled water. They serve tap water which has a metallic and soapy taste. I discussed with the staff. They do not filter the water they serve. I was not inclined to pin the taste on the glassware. It is important to me to have ample agreeable tasting water with a spicy meal. .“

“Mat was our server and he was awesome at recommending different dishes to try, also the FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE. So much flavor packed into one dish. They are located on the corner of Kapahulu and Winam. They even have a small parking area behind the restaurant available. 10 out of 10 stars.“

“I stopped by Lasoon while visiting the Paradise Palms Café area at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa campus, and it turned out to be a great place to grab flavorful Indian food in a casual setting.
Lasoon operates inside the Paradise Palms food court, which has a relaxed campus atmosphere with several different food vendors in one space. The environment feels very laid back, with students, faculty, and visitors stopping in for quick meals between classes or meetings.
The menu focuses on Indian comfort dishes such as curries, rice plates, and other traditional items. The flavors are bold and aromatic, with spices that give the dishes depth without overwhelming heat. The sauces pair well with the rice and create a balanced, satisfying meal.
One thing that stood out to me was how approachable the food is. The dishes maintain traditional Indian flavor profiles while still being easy for a wide range of diners to enjoy.
Service was quick and efficient, which fits well with the food court style setup where most people are looking for a good meal without a long wait.
Overall, Lasoon is a great option if you are on the UH Mānoa campus and want something flavorful and different from the typical quick-service options. It offers a solid introduction to Indian cuisine in a relaxed campus setting.“

“A Hidden Gem in Kaimuki – Clean, Friendly, and Delicious! I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Himalayan Kitchen in Kaimuki and can't wait to go back! First off, I was seriously impressed by how spotless the restaurant was — especially considering it's primarily an outdoor setup. The attention to cleanliness is unmatched. The owner personally came out and thoroughly wiped down each table with a cleaner that smelled fresh and inviting (none of that harsh chemical scent). It instantly made me feel welcomed and well cared for. Even the water glass — something I often dread at local spots due to lingering odors — was sparkling clean and crystal clear, with no unpleasant smell or taste. That alone made a huge impression on me. And believe it or not, even the ceiling of the outdoor lanai was clean. When’s the last time you noticed that? It’s rare and speaks volumes about the pride they take in their space. The food? Absolutely delicious. While I’m no expert on Himalayan or Indian cuisine, everything I tried was flavorful and comforting. I’m already planning my return trip so I can explore more of the menu and learn more about this rich culinary tradition. The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, personally offering me a seat on the lanai and making sure I had everything I needed. It's that kind of hospitality that turns a meal into an experience. If you’re looking for a clean, friendly, and high-quality place to eat in Honolulu, Himalayan Kitchen should be at the top of your list. Can’t wait to go back!“

“The staff welcomed us immediately, which was so nice since we often get ignored as younger people. The server even gave us a free drink and a little bit of butter chicken. Overall, an amazing experience and I'll definitely be back again!“
