I've been going to the place for years and I'm happy to see that this place barely changed over the years. The servers are super friendly, the food is pure Hawaiian comfort, and it's a great place for families. I ordered a small saimin with a good size laulau. This place is no fuss, nothing fancy. Their plate lunch is good too. Great place to come any time of the day.

The food here at Shiro’s was tasty and pretty affordable, especially considering the good portion sizes. The menu said that their saimin and wontons are made fresh and not pre-fabricated. The staff was kind, and I appreciated the atmosphere of the establishment. There are even motivational quotes from Shiro decorating the walls! I am happy to support this small family business with history and character.
