Yummy Korean Bar-B-Q – Pearlridge

Garlic chicken was like day old refried. Disgusting no meat, skin/breading only. Total waste of money.

I visited Yummy’s Korean BBQ in Pearlridge Mall, and while the food and pricing are decent compared to other Korean BBQ spots, I had a frustrating experience with their payment process.

They have seven signs posted stating they don’t accept cash — only credit or debit. I have no issue with a cashless establishment. The problem came when it was time to pay. After ordering, the worker whose name tag said Shelly held up the card machine for me to tap. I told her my debit card doesn’t have tap and needs to be swiped. She then told me, “We cannot swipe, only debit or credit.” I pointed out that I could clearly see the swipe slot on the machine.

Her coworker, whose tag said Emily, came over and said, “No swipe, only tap or insert.” I asked why they couldn’t swipe when the machine clearly supports it, and she simply told me I’d have to use another card.

Another detail that bothered me was that, despite their name tags saying Shelly and Emily, my receipt said “Irene” took my order — and there were only two females working the front. This inconsistency, paired with the unhelpful service, felt unprofessional.

The whole situation felt unfair and even discriminatory, especially since they display multiple signs saying “credit or debit” without any indication of what forms of debit they’re willing to accept. If a business chooses to be cashless, that’s fine, but they should clearly state their restrictions and train staff to handle payment questions respectfully and consistently.

Overall, the unclear policies and poor customer service left a really negative impression, and I most likely won’t be buying from here again.

Used to come here often. FOOD quality has gone down significantly. Shoyu potato wasn't cooked all the way. Meat Jun had more sinew which made every bite an extra effort. Not to mention they didn't properly whisk the egg so I basically had a side of egg whites lol. Customer service needs some help. I shouldn't be asking for sauces for certain dishes as part of the SOPs. Sorry Yummys you lost a long standing costumer not sure why i allowed this to happen year after year as I watched this place go down hill.

Yummy Korea BBQ at Pearlridge Mall is one of my go-to spots when I’m craving something flavorful and filling. What really sets it apart is how clean and well-kept everything is—you can tell they take pride in how they run the place. The food always tastes fresh, from the perfectly grilled BBQ chicken and kalbi to the crisp, well-seasoned sides. There’s a depth of flavor in their BBQ that you just don’t get at most other food court places. It feels like real care goes into every plate. For a quick bite, it’s surprisingly satisfying and always hits the spot.

I haven't had Bibimbap in a long time but I'm glad I did this time. It was delicious. Service was great, food was excellent! I did fry an egg and added that to make it the way I like it. Definite recommend.

EXTREMELY disappointed in food quality! Came all the way from other end of town as this was the closest Yummy. Should've drove further to airport location for better meals :( Got several plates & each one was a let down. Chicken plate--seemed like old chicken...SUPER dry! Kalbi plate, couldn't bite through 2 of the kalbis and it was TASTELESS :( Choy sum tasted off. Also had beef plate... beef was tasteless also :( What happened????? Been years since I've been here & this will be the last as I was grossly disappointed. Ate the food as I didnt wanna waste the money or bother to go back. Last time coming here!!!!!

Kalbi is the way to go here. My SO makes me go to this particular place for the kalbi.

So worth the price $19.99 for a Kalbi/Chicken plate * FOOD Was Delicious * WISH they had the pasta salad.
