Cholo's Homestyle Mexican restaurant offers an excellent selection of Mexican dishes, including shrimp tacos with perfectly cooked and seasoned shrimp, and steak and shrimp fajita with nicely seasoned steak and excellent shrimp. The Spanish rice and black beans are also delicious. The restaurant provides a colorful Mexican-style atmosphere, smooth and delicious beer, and reasonable prices.
The staff are friendly and hardworking, and the outdoor seating area, although simple, is made fun by the polite chickens and cat. Customers mention that the margaritas, which used to be top-notch, are now just average, but the dragon fruit margarita is tasty. The restaurant also offers fresh, great-tasting fish tacos and has started hosting karaoke nights on Saturdays after closing.
