The chicken curry katsu was tasty and very large, regular. It was enough for 2-3 persons and the mac salad was old style good. Another L&L I went to was very disappointing, 3 pc of teriyaki on an $18 plate. So it depends where you go.
L&L doesn’t get much better than this location. Always consistent, always big portions, always good food.
Great plates. Curry loco moco & kalua pig with cabbage were both really good. A Hawaiian mainstay.

L&L Hawaiian Barbecue offers wonderful barbecue and great food served fresh, with good portions. The fried garlic and salt shrimp is the bomb, and the kalbi, chicken thighs, garlic chicken, garlic shrimp, and chicken or fish sandwich combo are favorites. The Haleiwa location is the best, with newly renovated, clean tables and a very clean space. The staff is friendly and provides outstanding customer service, greeting customers with a smile. The order kiosk is appreciated for avoiding human interaction. However, service can be slow, taking forever to serve, with everyone getting food at different times, turning a 15-20 minute stop into an hour. The food is worth the prices and portion of meal. Use the app for rewards points to get free food.
