Koji's Bento Box is a small, cash-only hole in the wall local takeout restaurant located in downtown Hilo, next to Agasa Furniture. It has been in business forever, serving awesome plate lunches and excellent local food. Portions are huge, possibly enough for two. The menu includes items like the Koji's Loco Moco, grilled ono fish and chips, and daily specials. It is takeout only, so it is a good idea to find a spot to eat before ordering. The wait time is short, prices are excellent and lower than tourist spots, and the service is friendly. With a recent change in management, some hope it returns closer to its old style food.
