Arnold’s has the best bartenders - friendly, full of personality, and always serving strong, tasty drinks The doorwoman is professional and welcoming, creating a safe positive vibe from the start. Fun vibe at this place but stick with ordering beer. Reddit let me down by recommending cocktails at this place LOL. They were terribly sweet and seemed like mostly sprite with some kind of toxic candy syrup. Couldn’t go past 2 sips. Friendly staff though. Edited to share that the Mai Tai was the one that tasted so bad. I loved the Mai Tai at other honolulu bars, but left this one undrunk and just ordered a beer.
Finding a tiki bar like this in Waikiki was such a pleasant surprise! Arnold’s Beach Bar is warm, friendly, and has a truly local vibe. The cocktails are strong and the prices are very reasonable. The Mai Tai was especially amazing! The live music adds a great touch to the atmosphere. It’s not touristy — it feels real and genuine. If you’re in Waikiki and looking for a chill place to grab a drink and enjoy yourself, this spot is a must. Oh, and the popcorn is legendary!
