About Ramen Nakamura

Ramen Nakamura, a popular ramen restaurant in Hawaii, has been attracting both locals and tourists. Despite the high prices, the restaurant remains crowded, with customers often lining up, especially during festivals and holidays. The menu features a variety of ramen dishes, including the signature oxtail ramen, which is a local favorite. The oxtail soup is described as having a wonderful spicy flavor, with the noodles being perfect in texture. The food is generally very good, and many customers appreciate the authentic mom-and-pop shop vibe. The restaurant also offers gyoza, a popular Japanese side dish, and fried rice, which has received good reviews for its outstanding flavor.

While some diners find the ramen satisfying and a genuine taste of Japanese cuisine, there are mixed opinions about the quality. Some customers have reported that certain dishes, like the oxtail ramen, can be too salty or oily, and not as fresh as expected. However, the generous portions of oxtail are appreciated. Customers should also be aware that the restaurant has a serious approach to tipping, and experiences may vary. Overall, Ramen Nakamura remains a popular spot for those seeking a taste of authentic Japanese ramen in Hawaii, but diners are encouraged to choose their dishes carefully.

Genuinely so disappointing. Asked for egg and it was cooked all the way through. Usually ramen eggs are supposed to be soft and gooey. These eggs were jsut hard boiled dry. The tonkotsu ramen was so disappointing
Best ramen and fried rice I ever had
The experience reminds me of having ramen at any popular restaurant in Japan. Lines, quick, efficient service, 10 minutes of slurping and you're out of there. Had the ox tail, gyoza, Tokyo and Hakata ramen...all were solid.
