We sincerely hope everything is okay with Kabir and his family. They always work very hard and we look forward to their reopening.

Today was my first experience ordering take out for lunch at Café Taj Mahal and I am very happy I did! I often order food through delivery services and although I wanted to try this place, it was not a participating restaurant. At least not with Bitesquad. I tried the Chicken Curry Masala with rice and Garlic Naan and Lemon Lassi to wash it down. Everything was excellent! The chicken curry was melt in your mouth goodness. I enjoyed everything and I must say the portions are very generous with enough leftover for another meal. And the tasty garlic naan was huge! I will definitely be back to try other dishes.

Good Indian food near wikiki area.. had Biriyani, garlic nans with butter chicken, fish and paneer tikka masala. Portion size of biriyani is big and two people can easily share one chicken biriyani. This place has good parking facility with extra parking across the street, which is very important near wikiki area.

Looks can be deceiving. Upon entering restaurant I was skeptical and worried. They sat our group of nine quickly, as we had called ahead. We enjoyed papdum and veg pakora for appetizers. Sauce were nice and flavorful. Main dishes were chicken biryani, veg biryani, lamb korma curry, chicken korma curry, butter chicken with garlic and plain naan. Everyone in the party enjoyed the food. For dessert we had gulab , gaaja halwa and chai tea served with cardamom. Curries should be served in a dish not bowl. Waiter had a tendency to hold bowl with his hand over food area. Great worker though. Thank you for the good food and your one waiter/ server/ phone guy working hard. You definitely need another helper for service.

The first time I had real Indian food, my best friend brought me here. I wanted to try Cafe Maharani but he knew they were super busy right as they open so he brought me here saying it's just as good. I had no idea what to order and everything was delish!

Delicious food that never disappoints! Every dish is flavorful and there's something for everyone whether you're good with spices or not. The Taj has been my ultimate favorite when I'm craving indian cuisine.

The food was excellent and our server was attentive. This will be our new go-to Indian restaurant. Though there is another Kaimuki Indian restaurant with good food, the service at the other one is atrocious! Thank you Cafe Taj Mahal!

I have visited Oahu last week and thought of having a delightful dinner before we return to US Mainland, it took time to locate the address even using GPS and when I called to inquire exact location front desk could identify the names of other establishments beside her restaurant and then she hanged. After all we could make it ourselves but had bad reception and order is taking longer than 30 mins and so had to leave without having dinner.

Went at 9:25pm. Their website says closes at 10pm. Were told last seating had already passed. If you are going to deny customers who come in 35 minutes before you close, say that on your website.

Valentine's Day IN! We had a great experience doing take-out from Cafe Taj Mahal for our Valentine's Day dinner at home. We were prepared to wait a while due to the holiday so we called way before we were ready to eat. They estimated that it would take about an hour for our order to be ready - that was perfectly fine. The man who was taking care of the front was nice as well. We ordered the combination dinner for two which included two veggie samosa, two curries (we chose saag paneer and lamb curry masala +$5), naan for two (we upgraded to garlic butter naan) and rice. The food was incredibly delicious, we couldn't believe we were eating take out! Nothing was too salty or oily. The samosa are generously packed with delicious filling. They provide a tamarind chutney and mint yogurt chutney for the samosa. I love the saag paneer at Taj Mahal - it's one of my favorites! The lamb curry was delicious as well, but we wish there was less potato and a little more lamb. The naan was insanely large, the meal came with 4 large pieces that were as long as my forearm! We had lots of leftovers after this meal! We ate it for dinner the following night, and then I had it for breakfast the following day after that - we made 5 meals out of it and were stuffed after each one! The leftovers are always my favorite part and curry seems to taste better the following day. We were so pleased with the takeout that we can't wait to come back to dine in-person!

Who put 3 green chilies in a single onion kulcha. Overall test is average. Damn they have biggest samosa in the world which kills the appetite for main course. Interior needs improvement.
