Hannah's Bakery is a must-visit in Chinatown, located between vegetable shops on Maunakea St. The bakery offers a limited but reasonably priced selection of treats, including ham & cheese buns, standard egg tarts, pineapple custard buns, and char siu buns. The pineapple custard bun is a standout, with a crunchy topping, soft bread, and not-too-sweet filling. The ham & cheese bun is also praised as the best in Honolulu, and the coconut raisin bread is delish, staying fresh for days. Hotdog buns and cocktail buns (with pineapple, coconut, and mango) are also worth trying. Friendly service and good prices make it a great stop, right at Bus Stop 2. It gets a little hot when crowded, but the treats are worth it.
