Genji Club I love you. Thank you for the many years of totally awesome and fun nights of $1 karaoke and "free" snacks. It's sad to see another local business in Honolulu shut its doors. I'm a third generation Genji Club-goer. Like myself, my grandma and her girlfriends would end or start their Friday/Saturday nights here because it was just that awesome. Ok ok, I know what you're thinking... that place is where the oldies go--are you sure you wanna go there instead of the club?! The answer is yes! That's what I love about the place. I can be my true party-grandma self (party-grandma, adjective+noun: when you want to party and have fun on a Friday/Saturday night but don't want to stay out too late). There's something about this cozy bar that always made me feel at home. Thank you again for your many years of serving the thirsty community here in Honolulu. You will truly be missed.

Good atmosphere. Karaoke song selection is wide and the sound is really good. Has some great grinds too.

This place is a travesty. Extremely rude staff, totally incompetent, the karaoke equipment is janky as hell, very slow. Food is mediocre. No drink selection, but drinks at least were pretty cheap. Except for Kirin which is $8??? Why?

Absolutely awful. Our party went there for Karaoke, we got a private room, and had a great time despite the place. Our waitress/host was rude and pushy, the drink selection was marginal and expensive, the equipment was totally broken (one mic didn't work at all, and I'm a sound tech, so I know it wasn't user error). And the machine was just weird and confusing. But I just couldn't get over how terrible the service was though. Part of the problem is that you have to pay by the song instead of time, and they required every song be paid for separately and in advance, no tab, so there was considerable confusion trying to nickel and dime to find correct change on every song order. Bad model. Never going there again.
