It may not be an obvious restaurant, but for some reason the poke bowl here is really delicious! !

Went yesterday 4/11/23 - it's currently closed for renovations... doesn't give a return date just a sign on the door.

Delicious coffee, poke & French toast! Amazing service.... a little hidden gem.

Decent food but took forever. Told us 15 minutes, took about 35, customers that ordered after us got their food first. No customer service skills whatsoever.

Fish Hook is connected to the Luana Waikiki hotel. The cafe opens early at 7am and serves bfast sandwiches and poke. Poke at 7am sounds like the perfect breakfast to me. The hotel gave us complementary vouchers and we were able to try some poke bowls. They had a lot of different flavors and the portions were decent for the price. Toppings are extra though. Staff is super friendly and helpful when giving recommendations!

The best mochi pancakes and waffles! The avocado toast was particularly delicious as well. We make an effort to go every time we are in Honolulu.

No dine-in when we went, but service was fine and food was good. Limited menu since no dine-in. Got the fried rice, ham & cheese croissant and chocolate croissant. Would probably be better there were more options for breakfast. Not horrible at all, but not great.

We ordered the Ahi poke and the garlic shrimp. Garlic shrimp had no flavor... but it looked like it had TONS of flavor, so that was confusing. Ahi was poor quality compared to other local places we've been in the area. We are foodies and aren't usually too picky but this was just not a good food experience.

おいしいとんかつFinally, a place in Waikiki that I can enjoy Tonkatsu without the need of a reservation. Came here this morning and decided to come back for lunch. I had the fried rice plate from the breakfast menu and I heard the chef saying “Tonkatsu” to confirm the order. So I guess you can order lunch menu items for breakfast as well. I ate the whole plate of fried rice without taking a picture. I loved the fried eggs on top of the fried rice.Their Tonkatsu is not the mall food court Tonkatsu, it’s well plated with salad and rice seasoned with sesame. You can tell the chef’s efforts just by the salad dressing. It’s a cozy eatery that you can’t really see from the street but the service is excellent as well as the quality of the food preparation. I just came back from Japan and their food reminds me of all those extraordinary dining experiences I had there. It’s great to hear that they will expand their menu and eventually resume dinner service.

The fish hook was right next to our hotel and we received a $30 voucher for staying there - and we were glad we did. The restaurant is super small, only a couple of seats/tables but you can also order and pick up. The food is simple amazing and the staff super friendly! The avocado toast is not only award winning but the best one we every had. They offer freshly baked good from a local bakery as well. Went there every morning we stayed in Waikiki.

Staying at Hilton next door and walked in for mid week breakfast. Looks small but many take outs seen. We ate there. Served by John. Most engaging and efficient. Provided terrific information on local activities. We ordered Mochi waffles, award winning avocado toast, and 3B’s. Meals were served promptly and the food was excellent. Avocado toast “best ever”. Service excellent. 3 meals plus coffee/tea $60. Great experience for food and ideas for a day on the island.

Great food. Great service. Very friendly staff. Try the mochi pancakes; good flavour and slightly chewy texture. They do sit-down or take out. If you're in a rush, waiting for your uber, they will toss something together for you to go.They close at 1430, so don't try for a late lunch.

Good food and great service at a fair price. I found out they gave me the wrong item after I had left. I called them back to inform them of that, and they were no questions asked they just said for me to come right back in and they're going to start making my food right away. it was great customer service and I think they gave me extra food because my katsu plate was Packed super full

Our server John made our breakfast experience amazing. Great food, service, in a cozy atmosphere. We ordered the fried rice breakfast and the ahi poke bowl. Fish was fresh, rice was amazingly good. I will definitely be back here on my next trip!
