I had a good time eating at Gen Korean BBQ. Everything from the food to the service was good. To start I would say the meats were good but some were not of the highest quality. The selection of different meats were quite extensive which I thought was nice. I enjoyed the side dishes we order such as the cheese corn and cheese tonkatsu which was fresh and crispy. Corey is exceptional! We had no idea what the restaurant entailed but Corey/Cory ? Sat with and explained everything. The food was delicious! Our favorite was the steak. Such a neat experience and everyone was friendly. A+

Gen K-BBQ is a great option around the Waikiki area. The price can’t be beat. The food quality is decent, made better considering the price. The selection of items is good, even the regular non premium menu option. Some of the meat options were on the tough side, like the premium steak, pork belly and ox intestines. Our server Lauren was great. Initially she was really busy so it was a slow start but when she wasn’t as busy, she was quite attentive and friendly. I would recommend...
