A spacious interior with high ceilings. The seating is spacious and relaxing. Although it was Saturday morning, I was able to find a seat quickly.

Parking: free parking lot but I would definitely not keep my car parked there long considering how many homeless lurk around there and the chances of your car being broken into is rather high around this area since the parking lot is free.

Spacious and fancy. Acai Bowl, Acai Smoothie, Egg Scramble, and of course the coffee is delicious. The latte and honey latte are all good. The atmosphere is nice and quiet.

On the weekends there is no roasting. You can order online or have to go up to the bar to order and they give you a number for your food to be delivered, open seating. You can choose to have your order for here or in to go containers. They occasionally have waiters bussing the tables, but if they don't come, you have to turn in your dishes to the dish drop by the bar. They say they have a garden. It's more like a patio with greenery blocking the view to the busy intersection. The birds are not afraid of people and come right up to your table. The line to order at 11am sunday was about 15 min. They have a nice bathroom for patrons only with a code on your receipt. The acai is a frozen blend type. The granola is tasty, it could use honey which costs extra to add. The matcha is not very good. If you choose no/lite ice and ask them to fill it to the top it costs extra. Iced drinks are all 16oz. The chai does have specks in the latte, it doesn't dissolve all the way. Classic acai $16.50, Iced Lattes $7-$9. Not pictured-strawberry roll cake is basically vanilla cake with a strawberry-pass.

Parking: The parking lot says private parking, but the cashier said its free. There are two entrances/exits but its into/from a busy intersection.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to the roasting area. There are stairs and ramp leading to entrance. Parking lot is slightly rocky.

One of the female staff brought in a male staff to the restroom after having seen me walking in and that’s beyond disrespectful.

The Honolulu Coffee Experience Center is a must-visit destination for coffee lovers and anyone curious about Hawaii’s rich coffee heritage. Located in the heart of Honolulu, this center offers an immersive and educational journey into the world of coffee, from bean to cup. My visit to this exceptional facility was both enlightening and delicious, making it a highlight of my trip.

From the moment you step inside the Honolulu Coffee Experience Center, you are greeted by the inviting aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans. The modern, spacious interior is beautifully designed, with large windows offering a glimpse into the roasting process and a welcoming ambiance that makes you feel right at home.

The center offers a variety of experiences, starting with a fascinating tour of their coffee roasting facilities. Guided by knowledgeable and passionate staff, the tour takes you through the entire coffee-making process. You’ll learn about the history of Hawaiian coffee, the unique growing conditions of the islands, and the meticulous methods used to roast and brew the perfect cup. The behind-the-scenes look at the roasting process is particularly captivating, giving you a newfound appreciation for the craft of coffee making.

One of the highlights of my visit was the coffee tasting session, where you can sample a range of Honolulu Coffee’s finest blends. The baristas are true artisans, expertly brewing each cup to highlight the distinct flavors and aromas of the different coffee varieties. Whether you prefer a smooth, mild blend or a rich, robust roast, there’s something to suit every palate. The Kona coffee, known for its exceptional quality and unique flavor profile, was a standout for me.

In addition to the tours and tastings, the Honolulu Coffee Experience Center features a full-service café where you can enjoy a variety of coffee drinks, pastries, and light bites. The café menu includes classic espresso-based drinks as well as innovative creations that showcase the versatility of coffee. The cold brew, made with their signature blend, is refreshingly smooth and perfect for a hot day. Pair it with one of their freshly baked pastries for a delightful treat.

For those looking to take a piece of the experience home, the center’s retail section offers a wide range of coffee beans, brewing equipment, and unique souvenirs. The knowledgeable staff are always on hand to help you select the perfect beans or provide tips on brewing the best cup at home. The beautifully packaged coffee makes for a great gift or a personal memento of your visit.

One interesting and lesser-known aspect of the Honolulu Coffee Experience Center is their commitment to sustainability. They source their coffee beans from local farms on the Big Island, supporting the local economy and ensuring the highest quality. The center also emphasizes eco-friendly practices in their operations, from using recyclable packaging to implementing energy-efficient roasting techniques.

For fellow tourists, I recommend visiting the center in the morning when it’s less crowded, allowing you to fully enjoy the tours and tastings. If you’re a coffee enthusiast, consider booking one of their more in-depth workshops, where you can learn advanced brewing techniques and even try your hand at latte art.

The Honolulu Coffee Experience Center is more than just a café; it’s a celebration of Hawaii’s coffee culture and a testament to the art and science of coffee making. Whether you’re a seasoned coffee aficionado or simply curious about the world of coffee, this center offers a rich and rewarding experience. Highly recommended for a unique and flavorful journey into the heart of Hawaiian coffee.

Walked up to the register to order but staffs are busy talking to each other about their friends. Won’t acknowledge you are there until the conversation ends. It’s only 15-20seconds but it feels like eternity when you’re in the situation and it feels like you’re being ignored. This happened multiple times.
