Kona Coffee Purveyors Reviews
Queued for a long time, they were unable to provide any steamed milk!! This was not relayed to customers in the queue. Only option was iced coffee. A cup full of ice, cold milk and coffee that was not very good and very overpriced. I wouldn’t waste my time visiting this place again. You are delusional if you think you serve good coffee.
Queue for just coffee would have improved my experience 😞. Waited in long line and ordered pastries and coffee. Left a good tip. Left the establishment and came back to order another drink. Your pour over station was dead quiet. I thought that side of the store was coffee only customers. Disappointed by the condescending treatment by the staff.
Very rude (old white male) employee forced us to move and took away our chairs when we were sitting waiting for our coffee & pastry, to give the chairs to other customers, even though there were other open chairs and tables available (this was outdoor seating). Kona Coffee Purveyors is a popular café stop in Hawaii, known for good coffee and incredible pastries. The coffee is amazing, with options like the smooth, strong nitro coffee and the Hawaiian Honey Coffee, which has a perfect balance of coffee and sweetness without being overpowering. The pastries are a highlight: the lemon tart offers a perfect balance of tart and sweetness with a crisp pastry, while the kouign-amann and guava Kouign Amann are beautifully flaky, buttery, and not overly sweet. The banana chocolate croissant is perfectly flaky and easily a 10 out of 10. For savory options, the Mushroom Gruyère toast is incredibly flavorful and a real surprise. However, it can feel like a slightly overhyped tourist spot with a real wait—expect about 30 minutes in line, especially around 8:30 AM. Seating is limited, and the display is fancy but too many people make the vibes overkilled. Parking in the Target garage costs $4 for every half hour. Despite this, the place delivers and is worth the visit.
