I love Marugame Udon! The location was great, there was no line, and the food was made instantly. I got the BK sauce ontama with an extra egg and it was only $10! So filling, yummy, and decently priced. As a broke college student struggling with the prices of O’ahu, this restaurant is a blessing. Will be back 100%.

Was highly recommended and lineup went around the block in Waikiki. Got the Chicken Garden Udon for takeout - wasn't bad but I think it lost something when it got cold from walking it back to the hotel. Want to go back and try it hot and fresh.

Had a super late dinner after honolulu theater event. We walked in about 15 minutes before closing. No problem. Was super yummy. I ordered katsu udon and everyone had something. No tummy aches, yummy food. Thank you, will be back. Tables could be cleaner, along the sides of tables and under the edges. Guys were nice but busy shutting down and cleaning. Thanks for not being upset for our timing.

Great variety of different udon flavor soups and types of udon.
I went to Marugame for the first time today. I ordered the Beef. I added Zucchini Tempura & Shrimp Tempura. It was delicious. My Mom & I loved the taste of the Dashi. I ordered Large & it fill out tummy's full. I will definitely be going back to try different Menu Items. My tummy was very happy. Give them a try your tummy will be happy too. 😋 The Staff are all friendly & helpful.

Of course, the long lines or even short lines seem to go through very slowly, and the food is a little bit cold by the time you sit down sometimes. Their soup base or broth is just really delicious and very much.The recipe of the Japanese. It's a lot more healthy choice than McDonald's across the way, but I go to both.

There are two Marugame Udon locations in Hawaii, and the branch in the south is easily accessible by tourist trolley, so tourists wait in long lines, but the branch near the University of Hawaii is visited by nearby office workers and students, so if the time is right, you can eat without waiting. It's easy to order from the menu because there's a menu at the entrance, and the ordering order is clearly displayed so you can easily order by following it. The taste is like the curry and udon you can eat in Japan. The staff may not be able to properly understand the tourists' poor English (they themselves are poor), but they listen carefully, understand properly, and respond accordingly.
