What a wonderful find. Yummy samples and helpful and friendly staff. The baked goods are delicious whether you're gluten free or not. They have both sweet and savory choices. You need to go here. They saved 2 turkey sandwiches for us to pick up on our way to the airport. We'll be back!

Stopped in for breakfast and went with both savory and sweet. The meatball roll was amazing (and also dairy free). Grabbed the cinnamon roll for later so they packed the cream cheese icing to go. Everything gluten free and so delicious. The staff was so sweet and accommodating.

Love this place, I'm not even gluten free or vegetarian but their baked goods are delicious regardless. From experience, it's rare that I come across a tasty gluten free treat or even bread but they have mastered it somehow. I would recommend the cinnamon roll with the icing(also vegetarian). Also, they're strictly gluten free so no worries with cross contamination or whatever. Expensive though. But hey it's Hawaii, but still no excuse.

Wonderful little gluten-free bakery! I reached out to Franceska with a last-minute request for a smash cake that's low in sugar for my baby's first birthday, and she was able to put it together within a couple days. I was so incredibly grateful considering other places typically have pre-order restrictions. When I went to pick up the cake, I of course grabbed a couple of yummy goodies while I was there: a zucchini frittata, and ube cake. They also had some delicious free samples. The frittata was on the lighter/fluffier side, and since it had zucchini, it was a bit watery, but my baby and I loved it. The ube cake was moist and quite dense, and the portion size was quite generous. It was more than enough for my husband and I. The owner mentioned that her turkey cheddar sandwich is the one that sells out pretty quickly, we made a note to come back for that one. If you're looking for a gluten-free bakery, this is the place to go to! Just a heads up though, it can be challenging to find street parking. It took us several tries going up and down the streets, so my husband parked at a red curb while I quickly went into the shop. Luckily, he was able to move to an open spot that was closer.

Did not know much about gluten free food. Thought it would taste and look horrible, but to my amazement Pu'uwai Aloha bakery is awesome. Tried the blueberry bagel. Wow! Sooo ono. Ordered the guava cake with lilikoi frosting-AMAZING. Beautifully decorated and delicious. Just trying these 2items is making me think about going gluten free too. The girl at the counter got my 3-P's. Pleasant, patient and polite. With today's cost of living, especially in paradise, the items are on the pricey side, but I'm sure the special ingredients are too. Soooo well worth the price. Mahalo Pu'uwai for a delicious experience.

Possibly the best cinnamon roll I’ve ever tasted, and that would include those consumed before going gf. The pesto baguette was not my thing, but everything else was amazing. It was nice to be able to sample before buying. Great marketing, because we (thankfully) bought more than we planned to get.

Going out to eat with food sensitivities is always a challenge! So having limited options I appreciate this business having diverse menu, and always changing new items , sweet & savory!

I've already written a review so I'll just share a simple tip: If you ever see "rare items" in this bakery, such as eclairs or puffs, buy one of each! If your wallet is almost empty, then forgo the thing you were sent to the bakery for and instead repurpose your funds for this important business decision! You may have to apologize to your spouse when you get home, but later your gluten-free taste buds will thank me for this incredibly sage advice!

My wife and I recently did a day trip to Honolulu from Kauai, and the very first place we visited after a super early flight from Kauai was to visit the Pu'uwai bakery. We took an Uber from the airport, and this bakery did not disappoint! Every thing we ate was absolutely superb. We started with a breakfast sandwich that had a perfectly textured focaccia type bread. It is so hard to get a well structured gluten-free bread that is not super dense, but OMG, their bread recipe has nailed it, and it is awesome. We also got a blueberry danish that was excellent. We didn't stop there--we ended up stocking our backpacks with their cinnamon rolls and other danishes, and ended up enjoying them during the remainder of our day trip. I wish we had the chance to try their cupcakes, but we arrived too early for those. If you are in Honolulu and want gluten-free baked goods, please visit the Pu'uwai Aloha bakery. Without traffic, the trip from the airport cost about $20 by Uber. With morning traffic, the trip cost about $40--HOWEVER, it was absolutely worth it!

Having celiac and finding this bakery was the best thing I ever did. The food is always phenomenal and never a disappointment and they have a different variety of savory and sweet everyday that they’re open. The employees are also very kind and KNOWLEDGEABLE of the ingredients in each item and the atmosphere is a nice chill vibe.10/10 recommend trying this place, they also cater to other food allergies and preferences (vegan, dairy free) but they are the only bakery on Oahu that is dedicated gluten free and it feels like I finally have freedom again when pastry shopping !Dietary restrictions: Dedicated gluten free with dairy free and vegan options !

Cute little gluten free bakery, not too far off the highway, which was nice for a stop in our way to do sightseeing. Lots of choices.
