Just swung by as of Jan 15, 2023. It's still closed and doesn't look open at all. The website does looked revamped and says they're open but phone number don't work either. I miss this place. Hopefully they open up again

Still currently closed for renovations or other reasons. When they're open they have great food at reasonable prices!!

OMG Finally. I was passing by on my way to Times and what do ya know, Sanoya was open!! Made a quick stop and its mush cleaner than before. Also a brand new paint job. Down to it, had the chicken katsu curry rice and a side of gyoza. Just as yummy as I remember. Wouldn't have been a complete meal without a Hot Sauce Yakisoba. Always the same , always yummy. I guess Covid is finally over.

Love this place as it is tasty and affordable. Sad thing is they are (according to their web site) temporarily closed. Love the ramen and gyuku beef bowl combo. Always has so much food i could take it home n make another meal of it. Hope they reopen soon. Parking is easy as they have in the back and on street. Sorry no photos.

This used to be the go to ramen shop in the McCully/Moilili area. But a few days ago, I wanted to have some shoyu ramen and homemade gyoza. Alas, that craving went unfulfilled - they are not there anymore...

Best udon place I have been to on Oahu! The goto meal is the udon set that comes with chicken katsu, rice, kim chi, and the udon. Other great things I have tried on their menu is the chicken yakisoba. OMG you are going to want to take another plate to go.

As of Aug 6, 2021, Sanoya is closed for renovations. They did not mention when they will reopen. this place has very tasty curry. I hope they reopen soon.

If you were wondering why it has been dark there for the past few weeks, they are closed for renovations.

Still running strong after all these years... My go to is the udon set sub curry rice. Also the gyoza teishoku. One less star as last night's take out was missing miso soup.

Good service and ono ramen. Ordered the spicy miso ramen, shrimp fried rice, beef curry and ramen combo and gyoza. All items were reasonably priced and tasted great!

Food was great and so was the service! Took a bit to get water and our order because there was only one server and a full house.

The food is pretty good at a cheap price. HOWEVER, the service is not great. They take forever to cook your food and may at times mess up your order.... I recommend on going when you're the only person in the restaurant. It will likely take more than 30 minutes to get your food if there is more than one customer.

As much as it disheartens me to write this review, it must be done. Sanoya has been my family's go-to eatery for years. You can't beat the quality and quantity of food especially during these COVID times we are living through. And 2-stars for their consistent top-notch service. However, I don't think we will be coming back anytime soon (if ever) after today's experience. After a fun-filled day at the park, our 3-year old daughter was ono for some good ole' udon and chicken katsu. Naturally that meant next stop, Sanoya! We ordered our fave Udon set x2 and within minutes of eating a few noods, my very observant and particular daughter exclaims that there is "something in my udon". Upon closer inspection, we discovered a bristle of a metallic scrubber (top piece in pic). We told the server immediately and she apologized profusely and insisted that new bowls of udon would be prepared. We continued to eat and did not finish our second bowl of udon so we took the leftovers home. We reheated our leftovers later that night and my eagle-eyed daughter discovered a second piece of metal, possibly a rusted staple, (bottom piece in pic) in that batch of udon. I understand that mistakes happen and wish Sanoya nothing but success. However, going forward please ensure that foreign objects, especially harmful metallic pieces, do not find their way into your customer's dishes.
