It's been a while since I've been to the Ala moana shokudo, and boy did it go downhill. The restaurant moved to a much smaller space and the food quality was not what it used to be. Not sure if the AC was not working but there were table fans everywhere.
Parking: Parking is free in the back of the restaurant.

Place is very small since they moved stores. Service is subpar. Food was really unappetizing, we were starving and couldn’t finish the meal. Dynamite used to be really good, but now it’s just a bunch of mayo on a roll.

SO. MUCH. JUDGEMENT. Food was meh. Will not be back. The young server had a comment for EVERYTHING I did with my food. Skipped dessert. Not the same as before. Too bad.

The restaurant is more of a diner than a restaurant. The interior is old and unsightly, the toilet is in terrible condition. All in all, it's a little unclean (napkins were on the floor,...). The food was sometimes disappointing. Despite the small number of guests, the waiters seemed overworked. Our main courses were completely forgotten. After the starter we were asked if we would like dessert, which we said no, pointing out that we had a pending sushi order. When there was no sushi 15 minutes later, we asked and the waiter told us he had forgotten it. All in all we wouldn't come again.

It helped that they were open all afternoon. It usually closes after lunch time.Pasera style desserts, they were delicious! It was helpful because it was open all afternoon. Most of them close after lunch time. The pasela style dessert was delicious!
Parking: It's best to park at Target's multi-storey parking lot. It's parked above the old Sears. The parking lot is relatively empty, so you can park at any time, and you can easily find a parking spot by going down the stairs to the side of the restaurant!
Kid-friendliness: It's spacious, so kids can do it too!

Everything was so delicious and the service was great. Had the Spicy Miso Ramen and would definitely recommend. We also tried the Sashimi Sampler and it was very good. We had to try the Original Honey Toast and it was worth it. Give it a try.

I had high expectations from this place; The photographs show a reputable restaurant, but it turned out to be more like a diner. The interior is old and unattractive, the toilet is in terrible condition. The food was disappointing. Despite the small number of guests, the waiters seemed overworked, forgetting to bring us food on time and generally neglecting to serve tea, to top it off they added it to the bill which was a bummer. I will not be back.

The service was pretty good, but the food isn't special like it used to be when Shokudo occupied the larger space nearby. It's become generic. Their Dynamite dish pales in comparison to the real one at Imanasu-Tei. Also, it's kind of strange that the dinner menu offers less choice than the lunch menu.
Parking: There's validated parking nearby, but not sure how many slots. Also, it's kind of hard to find.

Nice atmosphere (high ceilings, clean, well-lit) and close to Ala Moana Mall. Good quality but on expensive side. Server Lauryn was sweet; hostess was not. They offer real menus (phew!) and ones that can be uploaded to your device after scanning the QR code. Complimentary parking. Popular place and recommend reservations if you plan to dine there after 6pm. You go there for the honey toast dessert. It was very warm inside and their portable air conditioner was just blasting warm air into the restaurant. Room for improvement for a better dining experience.
What a great experience! Stopped in randomly for some late night eats.We were greeted by a very nice gentleman & seated promptly. Konomi was our waitress, and I must say she honestly completed the entire dinning experience. Even if the food wasn’t amazing I’d return for her! It was late so we opted out of apps, my partner ordered a dynamite roll & I ordered the spicy tuna don - both were exceptional. Konomi upselled us on some dessert & we’re so happy she did! Next time we’re in Honolulu we’ll be back. Thank you Konomi!!

Always nice to grab food here. Early hour is easier to get in. Service is good ? while less customers around ?

They still got it with the honey toast. The service is friendly from everyone we interacted with. We had a new server so the service was a bit slower. We stopped in just for the honest toast and it was worth it. They have validated parking in the back as well.
