Staff is friendly and professional. This store is super busy on weekends and holidays so order ahead on the SB app

Usually I get Starbucks from the town center or koko marina but Safeway had a deal for a $2 Starbucks so I decided to try the new iced lavender cream oatmilk matcha. I ordered it with light ice. Got in a couple mins later and of course it wasn't light ice. It wasn't busy at all and I was the only customer who ordered from the same person who made my drink. The drink itself was ok. I liked the lavender flavor but the matcha wasn't as strong as I had hoped. This place is located in Safeway so I feel like it doesn't get as busy as the other two locations in Hawaii Kai.

This is the Starbucks inside the Safeway in Hawaii Kai. I like this setup as the seating is on the inside of the store. All the other locations in town the seating is on the outside, only the kiosk is on the inside. I like the Safeway Starbucks as they always have the best cups. I collect the cups, so I'm always on the hunt. The only thing about getting Starbucks in Safeway is that you don't get your bonus stars. It's because it's franchised by Safeway. You can redeem your stars, but not get the bonus stars. The workers were nice. They serve the same items as any other Starbucks.

Giving one star for a damn $0.50 cup fee only in Honolulu! Wtf!? I only went to Starbucks out of convenience. Now I'll make sure to never go and just pay the same at a local coffee shop. F off Starbucks. One of the richest companies in the world and you're still so greedy.

The Starbucks at KoKo Marina is much better. Koko Marina staff is kinder. I believe the Keahole location should receive more training and customer service.

Nice spot, the register wasn't working so that was unfortunate, but nice staff member!

If you want to get overcharged and can wait 6-10 minutes for your coffee even though it’s not busy go here. When you finally get your coffee it’s not bad.

I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 3 because they're new, some of the employees are new and with time, training and experience, people learn and get better. Located in Safeway Hawaii Kai, this convenient location is full of the normal Starbucks fare. I'm a regular here as I'm always shopping for groceries. The online ordering option is unfortunately not available at the time of writing this review. I hope that they add that feature soon because it would be nice to order while I'm shopping and grab my drink as I leave the store.

There are two other Starbucks in Hawaii Kai, but this is the closest to me so my family will frequent this one! They seem to have most of the hot foods and desserts available at most Starbucks, as well as the merch. Located in a Safeway that’s undergoing renovation, so this is a welcome addition!

I am not an everyday starbucks person but sometimes i do feel like having a drink. I stopped in on monday afternoon and of course not alot of people know of this location yet. The cashier did seem fairly new however nothing to be upset about. -quick -asked if i was playing monopoly -kind and efficient He then did make my drink just as ordered. I am pretty sure this location will become more busy in time.

It's great to have another coffee option in the Hawaii Kai area to spread out the crowd. The new Starbucks in Safeway really elevates the grocery store experience and is in a location away from high traffic areas which is nice. As expected, there is a learning curve for employees as this is a new service for this Safeway location. The cashier was very sweet but seemed to have difficulty with the POS system and appeared overwhelmed with a small customer load. And the barista appeared overloaded with many drink orders to make alone! Hopefully they will add more staff for these busy Saturday mornings. A HUGE concern for me was the fact that I paid in cash and the cashier continued to handle my change AND THEN food without gloves nor hand washing. Perhaps pre COVID I would not have noticed. However, this is a major safety and sanitation point that hopefully management can address. I'm glad I didn't order food (yikes!) Otherwise, my green tea latte tasted as expected and delivered by a very kind barista.

I was so surprised to see a Starbucks had opened in the Safeway in my neighborhood, had no idea even though I've been grocery shopping there in the two weeks it's been open (mid February)! It's located on the Liko's side of the store, on the way to the new meat department that took up the old Kale space. The store is undergoing renovations and the construction is a little off-putting so the sight of a clean, well-organized Starbucks is a welcome sight. They seem to have all the hot foods and desserts you'd find at most Starbucks, as well as a limited amount of merch. This would be the 3rd location in Hawaii Kai - we love our coffee apparently. I'll be frequenting this location to support it since it's the closest to my house!

So yay. I think I'm this locations first review. It's new so that means it's really pretty. The lighting is appeasing. Geraldine was working tonight and she is learning but she was pretty awesome. Her customer service was great and she made me a perfect Chai Tea latte. I look forward to coming back and having other drinks. One of the workers at Safeway told me the new flavored drinks are pretty awesome. So happy HK got a new Starbucks for when the others are crowded.
