Not a New York Bagel and so ridiculously expensive. Go across the street to Whole Foods where you can buy a half dozen bagels for $6 and change.... Not $24.00 plus and it actually has a hole in the middle and not hard as a rock. Have you tried the Bialys, what a joke, they are awful.

Like many others who are from or have been to NYC i wanted to love Tali's, as there are no authentic bagel places on the island. I have had these bagels twice (once at a pop up, once at their store front) and each time the bagels were HARD. I'm talking inedible, my friend and I took two bites and threw it away HARD. The bagels are also SUPER SMALL, and pricey. This is not an NYC bagel by any stretch of the imagination lol. Whatever baking/boiling method they are using needs to be sorted out, because I don't understand who would want to eat hard bagels at that price point? The "schmears" were tasty, and the bagels themselves had good flavor on the outside. Maybe just come here ti buy cream cheese. I prefer lox bagels over this any day.

Decent bagel place in Hawaii! The variety is schmears is awesome. I got an everything bagel with meshuga schmear (bell peppers, chives, etc). I liked my bagel but thought it was slightly too dense.

I wanted to love this place... We got the OG NYC. It was tons of cream cheese on a small bagel for 16$. The salmon lox was one very thin small piece and toppings were super thin as well. Almost non-existent. Highly overpriced, this was a one time deal for us.

Looking for the real deal bagel? Well, you found them! Tali's bagels and schmears are top notch. Authentic, chewy bagels baked fresh daily. Loads of delicious and unique schmears including ube! Ono sandwiches and great service too. Now you can have your bagel&schmear...and eat'm too!

I'd been wanting to try Tali's for a while... finally got my chance the other day. I grew up in Skokie, IL, so I was used to real bagels, and so disappointed with the only bagels I could get in Hawaii, which were basically regular bread shaped like a bagel. Tali's bagels are the real deal! I got the special of the day, tuna salad sandwich (for $1 more they would add cheese for a Melt). I chose a black and white sesame bagel. I usually don't get tuna salad because it's usually loaded with mayo, but this one was not like that. It was wonderful and delicious. The lady that helped me was very informative and friendly. I only hope some day they will have wholegrain or (my favorite) rye bagels. Until then, these are great. Thank you!!

We were thrilled when we heard there would be a bagel shop at Ward. We weren't disappointed when we sampled the bagels and got to talk to the owners, young and energetic. As the months have gone by the quality and high level of service have been sustained. And a recent trip to a bagel shop in LA have verified our sense that Tali's bagels are as good as you'll find anywhere. A real test was giving them to our grandkids. They loved them as well. Not much higher praise than that.

Amazing flavor! Loved it! Girls behind the counter were super fast and had great rapport with return customers. They also have the cutest logo ever! I ordered the OG bagel sandwich on an Everything bagel cause there's no other way to eat Lox. I am so sad because my only fallen star would be the texture of the bagel. You know like when you microwave pizza too long and then you can eat everything but the crust because it's too tough? That's kind of what it was like. I ordered and drove 5 minutes home to eat. It was still pretty warm but I couldn't bite through the sandwich. I ended up taking it apart and eating one side at a time. Like I said, flavors were amazing! Maybe I'll just ask them not to toast it next time.

Wanted to try a different "flavor" bagel but only classic was available when I got there. I didn't think it was that late in the day but I guess I was wrong. Around 1pm. The bagel was just okay to me. Nothing out of the ordinary but what could I expect from a classic bagel? Sandwich options were available but on the pricey side.

I have to agree with the reviews. Really wanted to like it since we live so close by. But like how others have said the bagel was so hard, and just like Dianne H. "everything was falling out before I could get a bite because of how hard it was." I'm giving it an additional star because of how great the filling tasted. In the end I just wish the bagel wasn't so hard.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Tali's.My wife ordered a black and white sesame bagel with lemon/dill schmear and I got a BEC on the same bagel. Both were excellent. They turn their leftover bagels into bagel chips and I just had to take some with me.The ladies behind the counter were extremely friendly and were pumping out orders quickly. Sure it's pricey, but it's Hawaii and we're on vacation, so that didn't affect our enjoyment of some delicious bagels.Vegetarian options: Multiple vegan cream cheese options as well as veggie sandwiches available

Cyndy's Bottom Line: An authentic bagel in Hawaii? So curious to see a bagel shop in Hawaii so I had to try one. I've had bagels in NYC and Montreal. Both are equally delicious. Ordered an everything bagel and forgot how difficult it could be to slice it. I was able to slice it and keep all my fingers in tact. I ordered the bagel plain without a schmear to taste the flavor and texture. The seasoning on the outside was good, tasty and flavorful. The bagel has a very stiff and chewy exterior which will require good strong teeth to pull it a part. The interior was slightly soft and dense which made for long good chew.
