Was a great place (before taken over by the bank) but it’s been closed for some time now... They were owned by the same company that ran Cafe Lani downstairs in Alamoana and Gokoku Sushi in Hawaii Kai which are also closed.
Tempura Fuji is one of the many Japanese-themed food stalls located in the Shirokiya Japan Village Walk of the Ala Moana Center. As you can probably guess, they focus mainly on tempura… battered, deep-fried, and crispy morsels of pretty much any kind of veggie, meat, and seafood you can think of.
We had the spicy ahoy roll to start and the shrimp tempura. Everything came out hot and crispy and pretty good. Rice was tasty too but no reservations. Also tables are for 3 or more.
