Threadfin Bistro is a tucked away, intimate, and small restaurant in Kilohana Square on Kapahulu Ave, a quick Uber from Waikiki hotels. It is a hidden gem with an amazing atmosphere, offering an incredible dining experience that feels like uncovering a treasure. The restaurant serves absolutely phenomenal, delicious, and excellent food with high quality ingredients. It is known for its affordable set course menus, which change frequently and are described as edible pieces of art. Dishes like the jidori chicken, crab curry noodles, steak, beef ribs, Kona abalone, Hokkaido scallop, burrata, and spiced crusted salmon are highlighted as excellent, insanely good, and delicious. Desserts are very good. The craft drinks are expertly made and there is a nice array of drinks. Service is excellent, welcoming, and the staff is so welcoming. The experience is worth every penny and worth seeking out, though the acoustics can be loud. Ample parking is available in the rear parking lot and reservations are recommended.
