My go to place for Hawaiian food. The laulau here is so soft and juicy. They have ox tail laulau on Wednesdays and butterfish laulau on Fridays. The kalua pig is seasoned perfectly and they have their own style of pipikaula. They also have pastele, turkey tail, charsiu pork, poke, chicken long rice and some other foods. All broke da mout. They also pack their plates with food. The only drawback is the price, but Hawaiian food is usually expensive everywhere you go. Make sure to sign up for the rewards so you get the free plate every now and again.
Youngd is the same as when I went 10yrs ago.
Excellent food!
The Laulau, the Kalua pork, and the lomilomi salmon were VERY good!
We return to the island annually to enjoy the local cuisines of Hawaii. Our first stop has been Young's for at least three years. We look forward to the tasty savory aroma of pork, chicken or butterfish laulau depending on the day and poi. Young's Fish Market continues to be our first stop. Oh yes, the pasteles are the best that we've had and we've tried many.
Thank you for remaining authentic and true to the flavors of Hawaiian food.
The best Lau lau - YUM! YUM!
And new discovery for me: the delicious and succulent pikikaula beef.
A Taste of Aloha: My Favorite Lau Lau Plate from Young's Fish Market
There's something about the lau lau plate from Young's Fish Market that takes me straight back to the heart of Hawai'i. The tender pork wrapped in taro leaves, the perfect scoop of rice, and those sweet, savory strips of pipikaula—every bite was like a little piece of heaven. And of course, no plate was complete without the side of hoio and creamy macaroni salad.
What made it even better wasn’t just the food—it was the feeling of sharing a meal with family and friends. Young's wasn’t just a place to eat, it was a place where memories were made, where you could savor the true taste of aloha. If you haven’t had the chance to try it, trust me—it’s a taste you’ll never forget.
Best laulau and lomi salmon in town.

I ordered the butterfish laulau plate and really only enjoyed the pipikaula. The butterfish was mild and steamed in the taro leaves gave it a healthy and fresh taste but it lacked flavor. The lomi salmon was also meh. The poi however was rancid. I know some people like their poi fermented but it was just too sour to taste.
The dining area is a little beat up but adds character.
I probably won’t return with the abundance of choices on the island.

Delicious first stop whenever we visit for local and Hawaiian food. Everything is good and very much comfort food. My favorites are beef stew and rice, and pipikaula. Old fashioned blue collar feel and always friendly service.

Sadly ran outta poi and not much butterfish otherwise best laulau on da island, the porks nice and fatty. I'm sure they've acquired more poi, if you from da mainland go get some real good Hawaiian food!
