Very friendly staff, they said any item in the menu can be done as vegetarian. We had Tacos de papa (potato tacos). The lady gave us their signature habanero salsa. All together the food was awesome. The lady at the counter was very kind has gave many pointers for vegetarian food in Hilo. Highly recommend this place. Parking was easy and you can also eat outside in the patio.

Absolutely the BEST birria tacos I've ever experienced. The tacos are a mess of hot cheese, crunch and tender meaty goodness. The broth is heavenly with flavor, spices and a nice kick of devilish heat that makes your mouth yearn for more.!! Nachos were equally sinful.

We ate a lot of wonderful food on the Big Island during our trip, but we raved the most about Birria Boss. If you are in Hilo or visiting any of the waterfalls in the area, make an effort to stop by Birria Boss. It is located on the way to and from Akaka Falls and a great place to stop for lunch after hiking to the falls and back. We enjoyed the quesobirria tacos and street tacos!

Definitely one of the best places to eat on the big island. We ordered the tacos and the flautas..both were fantastic. It really reminded me of the Mulitas that Lucy's Taqueria made with the cheese lace, onion and cilantro. The flautas are an absolute must. We will definitely be going back.
