I'm from Texas and we're skeptical of any restaurant that sells Mexican food that isn't within 200 miles of the border. I gotta say this place made me believe there's hope in other parts of the world. Those birria tacos were absolutely delicious and that pineapple aqua fresca was the perfect pairing for hot Hawaiian day. Kudos to the friendly and courteous staff as well. This Big Island has a hidden gem and it's called Birria Boss!

The best Mexican food I've had on the Big Island. Friendly staff, good prices and large portions (especially the burritos). The Potato Tacos are incredible if you don't eat meat (or if you do). Thank you to the owners and staff for providing excellent food in Honomu!

Yum. Melty cheese on top of beef birria in a fried taco shell with a dipping sauce. The rice and beans balanced the whole meal. Service was nice and efficient. The agua fresca was refreshing as well.

This place does Birria correctly. I make it at home and every time I go to a restaurant I am always disappointed. THIS PLACE WAS THE OPPOSITE OF DISAPOINTMENT. Hands down, probably the BEST Birria I have ever had in a restaurant. I HIGHLY recommend eating here. So if you're on the island and craving Mexican, this is the place!! Make the drive, get some lunch, and go check out the waterfalls out.
