No one was at the counter when I entered the store and they had a poor selection of baked goods. Also the place looked like a dump. At least clean your store front if you’re trying to sell something. Just looks unsanitary:

This place is fantastic! Incredible baked goods and such friendly people. So many jams and butters to try. It's an old building so not fantastic seating.

Amazing hole in the wall bakery. Mr. Ed will let you sample any of his 208 varieties of jelly, jam, fruit butter, and marmalade while he tells you stories about how he invented them.
The baked goods are really tasty as well.

We dined here because we were provided with breakfast vouchers from the apartment nearby. We could choose:
- sandwich + drink
- pastry + drink
- cookies + drink

First day we chose sandwich and coffee. You can choose the bread type, cheese type, meat type, egg or no egg. We are vegetarians so we can’t tell anything about the meat but the bagel we received was really tasty and warm.

Second day we chose the pastries. Cinnamon roll (it was huge) and the guava bearclaw. It was really good!

If you don’t have vouchers - the coffee is $2, sandwiches $7.5 and pastries from $5 to $7.

Parking: There are a few parking spots on the street. We never had problems with finding one.

We stopped here randomly and it turned out to be a highlight of the day. Mr. Ed and his family make hundreds of homemade jams, butters, mustard, and a multitude of delicious baked goods. It was a pleasure talking to Mr. Ed and hearing stories from his life and how he came up with his jam varieties. Definitely worth your time to stop and visit.

If you’re going for a baked good, the cocopan is amazing. If you’re going for a jam, get orange ohelo, lilikoi low sugar, ginger lilikoi, passion calamondin, and/or guava-orange-mango-passionfruit.

Mr. Ed and the store family are the loveliest people! My 5y/o accidentally dropped the shaved ice he was about to eat and was about to cry. Swiftly they noticed and kindly replaced it for him even though it was not necessary. THIS is the aloha spirit!! Thank you for making his day great! It was the highlight of his day!

We bought some (gluten free!) snacks that my husband could eat and gobbled it all up on the car ride. My son loved his shark tooth necklace from here.

Mr. Ed has me nearly convinced that if I ever leave the mainland I will move to the Big island!

The owner (Mr. Ed) is like a kind magical bread wizard. Everything in there looks amazing and is amazing. We got a giant cinnamon roll, a guava bearclaw, and Hawaiian sweet bread pudding and all of it was just great. We also got four breakfast sandwiches which were also great! Everything about this place is just perfect and it all tasted amazing. ??‍♂️

Parking: There are about seven parking spots outside of the bakery.
