“The BEST quesabirria I’ve ever had, coming from a self-proclaimed quesabirria connoisseur. When we landed in Maui this was the first place we came to. It was so good that we made the half hour drive to come back a few days later. The steak burrito and chicken tacos were also delicious. The owner is from Mexico and all of the dishes are authentic family recipes. My only wish is that we had more time to come back and try more of her dishes!! The service is great, the food is delicious, and they were also very accommodating to gluten allergies. Definitely check them out!“

FOOD:
Ultimate Cheeseburger
I always feel so guilty when eating this. It's pretty much the size of a DQP from McD's but tastes worlds better. And with curly fries? OMG.

Sourdough Jack
This is the only other burger I order besides the UC. Its a bit smaller and has a unique taste with the sourdough bread.

Portobello Mushroom Buttery Jack
I HAD to try this after seeing the commercial years ago, and it was damn delish! Butter makes everything better. I was surprised that the mushrooms were fresh and tasty, as was the Swiss cheese. I always opt for curly fries but I think the regular fries would go better with this burger.

Jumbo Jack with Cheese
This is my alternative to the Ultimate Cheeseburger when I need a small snack. It's a single patty topped with ketchup and mustard, onions, pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, and is just the right size.

Portuguese Sausage, Eggs & Rice
Ask anyone in Hawaii, and they'll say that McD's is the place to get this local breakfast platter, as they've been doing it for decades now. So how does JITB's version compare? IMO, it does not. My biggest gripe and pet peeve is that the sausages were sweet. Yuck! I loathe sweet foods unless it's a dessert. The scrambled eggs were definitely real and not of the Egg Beaters variety but, pass.

Hash Brown
While it tasted similar to the McD's one, it was slightly larger, and just as crispy.

Ham & Egg Breakfast Pocket
After seeing the commercials I had to try it! Unfortunately, the flour tortilla-wrapped finger food was so bland regardless of the salty ham and fake cheese. No sauce/condiments came with it. Pass.

SERVICE:
The drive thru can be super slow more so at late night. Staff are friendly.“

“The fish tacos are hands down so delicious. Mango salsa takes it to a whole different level. The flavors were so so good this coming from my mom who loves to eat fish tacos everywhere she can. She said it's in her top 2 choices of fish tacos. I had the mahi mahi grilled with lemon butter and white rice it was delicious as well but next time I'm getting the fish tacos.“

“I don’t go to this place to eat. I cook at home. Because I belong to groups & clubs that meet at different places. I happen to go to this one on the corner of lower main st And Waiehu beach rd. In Wailuku / Waiehu. This place was clean a lot of seating available. We ordered drinks to find out they no longer carry the raspberry tea. So I ordered ice coffee. For our meeting, while ordering that their was a new item Being advertised so I asked for samples and the counter woman asked the manager if they do give samples so she said yes so she let a sample of the three items that they were advertising I thought that was really generous. Much later she came to see if we were happy with the samples. The ladies were satisfied with it . I feel comfortable in having future meeting here at this place. The work crew were very friendly. “I’ve been to JIB all over the US. With Bacon & Cheddar Potato Wedges being the culinary highlight of the menu, I tend use them as the “bar” to which I measure the quality of my order. After visiting the JIB in Kihei, that bar has been raised. Today’s order was one of the most magnificent I’ve seen in years. The wedges had 100% coverage of cheese and a perfect bacon layer. Truly delectable! The breakfast jacks were also excellent. Hats off to JIB in Kihei! I would still love to see a return of the Colossus Burger. #bringbackcolossus“
