The market is a solid morning stop for coffees, fresh pastries and smoothies each morning while staying in Kona Village. Free drip coffee and fruit each morning for guests was a lovely touch. Lunch in the restaurant was not as exceptional as one would hope, but was enjoyable with a great view of the beach with very attentive, warm service.
We've been to Kahuwai Cookhouse twice. Went for my birthday in June and took some friends there for another birthday celebration in July. The service, food, and atmosphere are all excellent. The portions are great. I had leftovers both times we ate there. Everyone is very attentive. They asked us if anyone has food allergies or special dietary needs both when seating us and when taking our order. The ocean breeze and view are spectacular. Take a cocktail at the bar at sunset and u will be in paradise. Also stay for dinner since u are already there.
