Based on the reviews, MY BAR KONA is the absolute best place in Kona for a good time. It is a safe space for anyone of any race and sexual orientation to feel safe, accepted, and happy. The bar offers everything from drag, themed dance parties, trivia, karaoke, bingo, burlesque, and KONA PRIDE. There is a mean pickle martini, a lot of non alcoholic options like local kombuchas and mocktails, and a whole menu of hysterically named bar food. The chicken tenders are fantastic and the drink prices are great. The staff is super friendly, lovely, and kind. The place is clean, with a happy and laid back vibe, and a great mix of music. There is an outdoor area great for conversations and chilling out. It is a must stop when coming to Kona, and the only place to feel 100% comfortable to dress however and be whoever without judgement.
