“Went at 3pm to avoid any traffic. Walked in and while I was looking at the menu, the noodle guys kept rushing me to decide. We had no one behind us and still kept screaming what we wanted. We ordered 2 beef and 2 most popular nikutame in a rush. Nikutame is really sweet for my taste. The flavor is very similar to the Korean jjajang sauce.Udon noodle texture is great.“
“The best service and family. Small business with a big heart. Opel and Lio were very attentive to our family, while Aoy along with the rest of the staff prepared our meal. Great food, great atmosphere, wonderful people. Praying the family is doing well. Can't wait to visit again the next time in in Honolulu.“
“Food was great, the restaurant family was very friendly and patient with our picky 5 year old water. Grandma brought out a bunch of things for him to try, she was so kind and thoughtful. Also, come hungry or expect to bring home a lot of leftovers... The pork dishes we ordered came in very generous portions, I could only put away about half of my crispy pork belly before I hit my food wall.“
“For some reason since the pandemic the price of Pho has skyrocketed. I mean everything has gone up in price, but pho seems to have gone up more than any other food. Pre pandemic, it was about $11. Now, if you're lucky its $16. My usual Pho place, Pho Tri on Kalakaua and Beretania had a special on Saturdays. Buy one bowl at about $11, get the second one for 50% off. Two people could dine for $20. After discontinuing this offer, they raised the price up to $16 meaning the cost had gone from $17 to $32. I stopped going there and stopped eating Pho as a result. For $16 you can still get a fresh caught fish plate at Nico's which to me represents much better value.Anyway I still get the urge to eat Pho and this place was convenient with excellent reviews. We got one Rare Steak and Meatball Pho ($17) and one Seafood Pho ($17.50).I would say everything was average. My dining partner said the broth was too oily. It didn't bother me too much. Size was average, amount of protein was average, amount of garnishments was average, taste was average. Everything is what you'd expect.Service was good. Water was refilled, and whom I presume were the owners were friendly. I think the price is a little high, but its a small restaurant and they need to make a living. I would go back if I wanted Pho and didn't want to drive. Some places in Chinatown, the taste and portion size is a little bit better and the prices are a couple bucks less.“
“Ordered the wagyu beef set, chicken, and salad. The draft beer is super dry and the food is delicious. I wouldn't say it was like the old Yakiniku Hiroshi, but it was good and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's just a little hard to find the place.“
“My family and I love this place! Sakana fries and sakana salmon sooo ono!! We went in on a Friday night a little before 8pm and the server told us kitchen was about to close! It was so nice of them to still take us in! We were so happy and our tummy's were too! Mahalo agian sakanas for awesome service and ono food!! We will be back!“
“Today I ordered the tofu salad with sesame dressing. I was totally impressed. There was not one wilted vegetable in that salad. Amazing! The dressing was great. I will go back there again. The gentleman working was so polite and had a great personality. Thank you for such a perfect salad. Good job!..Charlene NobrigaVegetarian options: The most important thing is the freshness and good quality of the vegetables. I couldn’t find one wilted vegetable. To me that’s impressive.“
“Came here on a Saturday late afternoon with my sister. The restaurant was empty except for us. My sister chose the ponzu broth and I chose the cream peanut broth. The latter was ok, but the ponzu was delicious. I will order that next time I go. They bring out plates of thinly sliced meat to your table and you go up to a buffet style table to get your veggies, fish balls, and sauces. The fish balls, chicken balls, fried tofu and veggies were all good. Ok selection. I liked that they offered tofu skin, grated daikon and minced garlic. The sauces weren't really labeled so I just tried some of each. The spicy ponzu sauce was my favorite. The only thing I wished they had was Goma sauce and cilantro. LolBut really everything we tried was good and I would come back again.“
“Visited here on Black Friday. We don't come over to Hawaii Kai often but Costco had coconut milk in stock that we needed for baking. Looked at some reviews and we decided to try it. I liked that our waitress was knowledgeable about what was gluten-free. She said the vegetarian broth would be good and I got that with brisket. Also ordered the Fall rolls. I couldn't have the sauce but my husband said the sauce was really tasty. My pho was yummy. The broth had flavor and it was a generous amount for what we paid for. Husband had the regular broth and he said his pho was good too. Food came out quickly, service was friendly. Will be back again if we're in the area.“
“Love this place! Newly discovered, passed by so many times and never noticed, it is hiding between two buildings. Food is amazing, just perfect amount of salt and spices to hit your taste buds. Desserts are great too, sampler plate was a winner.Nice place overall, great service, presentation, ambience. One note! Please fix the bread, it is too light and soft.“
