“Been here and Captain Bar (same menu) a few times now since we arrived at the resort 3 days ago. People at the bar are way more on top of it. The women working the register at Hale Nalu forgot our drinks, got one of our drinks wrong, and then said they’d make an “exception” for giving us sour cream with our quesadilla (even though it was served with our entree the day before and not a side that costs extra). Pretty frustrating experience when you’re paying about $80 for two meals and two drinks. My husband and I will just go to the bar here on out.“

“This place is fantastic. We had an excursion near this location and it was highly recommended for their curry… It was so good in our 10 days that we stayed in Kauai. We ate here twice. Wish I would’ve taken pictures of the food, but the food disappeared soon after it arrived to our table.“

“This place was highly recommended by my patient that was part of a Facebook Group that posted about this place a lot and they were featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. It was good and the service was fantastic, but not so good that we made a second stop on our trip. Their service was quick too, so it's a good stop if you only have a short time to eat! Their menu includes: Truffle Burger, Veggie Burger, Chicken Katsu Sandwich, Kenji Burger (teriyaki, ponzu aioli, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, tomato & arugula), Misoyaki Fish Sandwich, Salads, Sushi Burritos & Bowls (loco moco, chicken katsu, misoyaki fish, and poke). There are 2 locations on the island“

“Had a wonderful experience at Stevenson's Library. My husband and I eat sushi often and this was super fresh and delicious! And it offered some sushi that aren't available in the Mainland. It was a very warm and cozy setting. What even enhanced our experience even further, was our server Brittney, she was awesome! She did a great job describing the dishes, and whenever we were waffling between certain items, she definitely steered us in a certain direction and did a great job explaining why. We enjoyed it so much we are going back at the end of the week, and of course asking for Brittney again!“

“Food is still good however the service now sucks. if your eating and want something else or another drink. whoever is serving you will not get it you are told that you must go back up to the cashier and order it there. what kind of crap is that. when told that I replied that "Then no need to tip you right" ? got a dirty look for that one, I'm just saying what's the purpose of having a waiter/waitress that won't get anything may as well go to the Crack. glad the one in Kalaheo isn't like poipu !!“
