“A must while on Kauai. We no expectation of great from the “counter” behind the warehouse. What we experienced was one of the best meals on the island.

The cocktails are all fantastic, the problem is deciding on one or two (or three). The balance of the drinks were perfect, not too sweet, not weak…. Like I said perfectly balanced. We could tell the owners are the place.

The Cali Rueben was brilliant. The Cobb salad was great.

The place has a great view from the back, it’s clean, the staff and owners are wonderful. 5+ Stars. No regrets, no hesitation. A must!“

“Food at La Spezia is outstanding! This was the first time dining at La Spezia (party of three), and we couldn't have been more pleased. Service was prompt, friendly, and attentive. The food was the most delicious any of of us has ever had. I ordered the gnocchi, my friend ordered the short rib ravioli (and couldn't stop raving about it!), and my husband devoured the wagyu hanger steak (he said it was amazing!). The wine we drank was terrific as well (a red zinfandel)! Even though all of us were full, we ordered dessert the salted caramel panna cotta, which was outstanding! All in all a meal we will never forget! We highly recommend La Spezia for a very enjoyable night, to anyone looking for a great restaurant in Koloa.“

“The food from here exceeded our expectations quite a bit, it is delicious. The place has a poolside snack bar vibe but the food and drinks are top notch. They have many servers who come by regularly to place orders. Or you can walk up and place an order. The prices are average for a casual poolside dining experience on the island but well worth it. The first time we ate from here my wife got a Chinese Chicken Salad and I got the Shrimp Shipwreck Salad. Both were huge servings and very tasty. I think my shrimp salad had a skewer of about 7-8 shrimp that were so flavorful. The dressings for both salads were extremely tasty. We also had cocktails, I had the Lilikoi Margarita and my wife the Froze Guava, both spectacular. The second day we ate there I had the fish tacos which were out of this world delicious, fresh and very tasty. If you are a fish taco fanatic like I am ordering these are a must. You won’t be disappointed. I believe it is the only restaurant in the resort with poolside service but that is not an issue because the menu has great options, the service is spectacular and the food is definitely sit down, nice restaurant quality. We highly recommend it for food and drinks.“
