“This shop has been here for decades. You will always find wonderful things to eat. Take out and cash only. I recommend their spring and summer rolls. Tasty and filling. They have the usual Ba-Le menu and have added several Chinese dish selections which are also delicious. Not sure if they still do it, but in the past, they grew all their own Basil, mint and green onions. A very dedicated couple of owners who have weathered the pandemic and continue to provide that old familiar taste and service that we have come to know.“

“Good selection of coffee, sandwiches, and sometimes they have a grill for burgers here. Staff is all pretty young from what I have seen and experienced. Yet they are always calm and professional in each interaction. If you need a quick bite to eat and a beer to go it's a very good spot. Although the only issue is that the service food can be slow. Plus sometimes for the burgers they charge 2 bucks extra for a single slice which is pricey to me. But besides that I have no issues with anything else. Always a good amount of folks relaxing here with some shaded seating on the side. Kid friendly for anyone wondering as well.“

“This is a solid takeout spot with good poke. There are spots to sit and eat outside. Make sure you ask about their ingredients. I discovered peanuts in their Thai basil poke after I started eating it and sharing with my son who has a peanut allergy. We had to rush to get some allergy meds afterwards so be careful.“

“When in Waikiki this place has always been our “go to” place for coffee and fresh pastries! A pleasant surprise occurred when we arrived 5 minutes before they open(@7:00AM) and saw a line of about 15 people standing outside the doors. As they opened, the line of people ahead of us directly when to the bag display area. Each then grabbed a linen bucket tote-10th Anniversary Edition. Being the last in line we decided to grab the last bag on the rack. The bag cost a hefty $75.00, but figured it must be worth it since people stayed in line to purchase the bag. One person in line commented that she had been there since 6:00AM! After grabbing the last bag, several other customers who entered after were left disappointed that they were out of

“Take out only. The have a vast variety of manapua, both steamed and baked. Staff is very friendly, efficient and puts a smile on my face. Makes a great impression when you are walking into a meeting, gathering, etc cause although everyone loves manapua, pork hash, half moon, rice cake, etc. Most people never think about this option which is far superior to donuts or other pastries.“

“I do not know what’s up with all the bad reviews. This place is a hidden gem. Let me first start by saying the kitchen is on point. Food comes out fresh and hot, wait staff is very friendly. Had no issues with the food, and honestly will eat here again. Marty our server was amazing and kind lady. She made sure everything was on point and up to our standards. Is it worth eating at yes is the prices fair yes.“
