The cook was dancing and singing as he made the breakfast sandwiches! If you go on a Malasada day, get there early to avoid a line or a wait.“
“Absolutely fabulous passion fruit and cheese danish. Would return for that absolutely! I hesitate to say that the chocolate croissant I also got had too much butter because I know that’s a very key component of any croissant, but it did seep out of the croissant when I squeezed it. I will be returning for the passion fruit but maybe not for the chocolate croissant. Wonderful regardless.“
“I had a great experience today at Safeway. I'm new to online coupons on the app and wasn't sure if I added my coupon correctly and the gal working simply said she would give the coupon no matter what for trying. She kinda made my day with her positive attitude and great service. That coupon was for NY Steaks at 4.99 a lb too. I grabbed the last one.“

Ordered an everything bagel with jalapeño and artichoke cream cheese, breakfast sandwich, and a bunch of their pastries - everything was 10/10. Coming back for their banana pudding…must visit for breakfast if you’re staying at the Royal Sonesta or Marriot.“
“We were planning a destination wedding in Kauai and needed a wedding cake and a groom's cake. I contacted Ko Bakery and they were quick to respond and answer all my questions. I sent a couple of pictures of my ideas and the cake arrived exactly as pictured. It was delicious. They even made arrangements to have it delivered to the restaurant so all we had to do was enjoy our day, show up at the restaurant, and eat cake! I would highly recommend this bakery.“
“Absolutely the BEST malasadas on Kauai!!! Before coming to Kauai Bakery, we tried Passion Bakery (small, expensive, so-so flavor) and Island Craves (tough, day old and small, not much flavor). Kauai Bakery has very fresh, moist and flavorful malasadas. They're also good sized and inexpensive ($1.50 for plain sugar or cinnamon sugar!). Delicious!!!! Similar in freshness, taste and size to the malasadas at Tex-Drive In on the Big Island.Friendly, wonderful, people....family owned. The best! Don't go anywhere else but here!Parking: The bakery is on an outside edge of a shopping mall, next to n entrance. Lots of parking!“

There are limited seating options, but we sat at a table outside and Chef Orly Yadao came out to chat with us. He was very kind and we were a little star-struck to meet the Food Network star in person (Sugar Dome, Halloween Wars, Cookie Wars)! Definitely stop by this lovely bakery if you are in Kauai.“

Frequented by old ladies and young male workers -- positive indicators of quality and value.We got a small marinated pork ($8), custard pastry, and sticky rice for a total of $12.Pork was super flavorful though I was unable to identify anything.The custard pastry was mind-blowing.“
“This place serves great food but it's a little pricey. One suggestion I have for the owners is to improve the customer service provided by the staff who take orders. The ladies who take orders are sometimes rude or appear annoyed. They don't have to be friends with the customers, but it wouldn't hurt to be kind and friendly.“
