This place is a hit and miss with the sauce and shrimps but overall it’s good. Don’t spend the extra $$ on Kauai prawns as I think the it’s less sweet than the head-on shrimps. My Kauai prawns were over cooked and it was chewy.
The food was delicious and enjoyed by my grandchildren and guests. The enclosed booth seating was great for private conversations. Unfortunately the waitress was not accessible to order additional crab, drinks, desserts and deliver the check. My husband had to go searching for her each time. Don't think it's fair to assess 18% automatic tip for poor service. She didn't deserve the $89 tip. We're used to paying 20% and more when we receive good service at other...
We went there on a Thursday about 630p. Lots of free parking at ka makana alii. We actually walked-in, but when it's busy you have to sign in to a waitlist. We actually was seated right away. Our server was okay, but there was a little wait for the food. We had the snow crab combo with spicy. The seafood was cooked ok, but not as much flavor. The rice and potatoe was on the hard side. It might be awhile before i come back.
