Our favorite restaurant spot in Keaau too, because it's upscale beautiful inside, and a good reason to get dolled-up! The Thai Tea was a sweet, yet not heavy, perfect energy pickup for me! “This is a gem of a restaurant, offering a fusion of Southeast Asian specialties. If you want to grab something fresh and delicious, but don't have time to wait, their lunch special is for you! From 9:30 am to 3:00 pm, you get your choice of rice or one of two types of noodles plus 1, 2 or 3 other items from the buffet. I got chow mein noodles plus the Tofu Eggplant. It came to $12.95, which is very reasonable for Hawaii and was quite filling. Definitely high quality ingredients. The eggplant was sweet and tender, the tofu was well prepared, and the noodles were fresh. The sauce was full of umami flavor with just a touch of heat. Perfect! You can sit inside a bright, inviting dining room or outside at a table in the shade and cool breeze. The young lady that waited on me was very sweet and helpful. Highly recommend!“

“Without a doubt, this is the best Thai food I’ve ever had! Every dish was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The ingredients tasted high quality, and everything was cooked to perfection. The staff was friendly, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. “Papaya salad was excellent. Coconut soup was great. Pad thai was just okay. This place specializes in papaya salad so that's on me for getting something else. Get the papaya salad and you'll have a great time.

“Okay used to be Rattana’s Thai Kitchen and the sign is still outside. It’s now Oy’s. Just the Thai hospitality makes me feel right at home. There is a sit down area inside that I heard opened a week ago, where I had my lunch. The Pad Thai with tofu was awesome; just the right flavors popping out here and there out of the noodles. The tofu was fresh. Even the drinking water was set on the table with a fresh lemon and herb and a straw which I didn’t use and returned. I am coming back for sure to visit Oy’s. Was asked as in traditions Thai restaurants do I like spicey. Not a big menu , just food done right, fresh, tasty and made to order. Khap Khun Krap. PS the order portion was huge !!!“

“They also have a location on Kalakaua St. I've been to both locations and the food is delicious, this is my go to Thai restaurant. I always get some sort of curry, there are quite a few options. My husband isn't a fan of curry but there are still plenty of options for him too, which is perfect because i am a huge fan of Thai food. The portions are good, too.“
