“This place really saved us. We had just been to Kilauea and hadn’t eaten real food all day. Peppercorn is right off the route traveling from Volcano to north Kona, so no time off route! The food was hot and delicious. It came out super fast. Service was very attentive and kind. It was an excellent choice after a long day of hiking in the rain!“

“Our 2026 new choice restaurant, for Vietnamese/Thai/Chinese food! We went on 2/28/26 and I ordered Lemon Chicken and he ordered Tom Yum soup. Both were very delicious! The service was fast, and the young lady and young man are very polite and friendly. Such a convenient location, because we went shopping at Foodland Keaau, right after our lunch! I especially love their normal restaurant hours! Will return!“

“This has got to be some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. The service was wonderful, the location is adorable and the food is to die for. All the vegetarian options are by default vegan. I had the Mee ka ti and I will be dreaming about this dish until I come back.“
“Great selection of fresh fruit, juices and muffins.“

“The food here is excellent. This was the first time I've had truly great Thai food on the Big Island, and I highly recommend it. The prices are very reasonable. We ordered the Panang curry with tofu, Kra Pao with minced chicken, and a Thai iced tea—everything tasted wonderful. For parking, we found a free street spot right across the road and walked over.“
“Excellent service and very good food. We also got a really good view of the volcano from outside of the restaurant.“
“Okay used to be Rattana’s Thai Kitchen and the sign is still outside. It’s now Oy’s. Just the Thai hospitality makes me feel right at home. There is a sit down area inside that I heard opened a week ago, where I had my lunch. The Pad Thai with tofu was awesome; just the right flavors popping out here and there out of the noodles. The tofu was fresh. Even the drinking water was set on the table with a fresh lemon and herb and a straw which I didn’t use and returned. I am coming back for sure to visit Oy’s. Was asked as in traditions Thai restaurants do I like spicey. Not a big menu , just food done right, fresh, tasty and made to order. Khap Khun Krap. PS the order portion was huge !!!“

“Hidden gem with the best authentic Thai food on the Big Island. Imagine having a Thai grandma custom make you everything and this is it! For real. Don’t let the ambiance of this small food court shape your opinions, let your taste buds explode. They take cash and card, and everything is made with care.“

“They also have a location on Kalakaua St. I've been to both locations and the food is delicious, this is my go to Thai restaurant. I always get some sort of curry, there are quite a few options. My husband isn't a fan of curry but there are still plenty of options for him too, which is perfect because i am a huge fan of Thai food. The portions are good, too.“

“It's a "hole in the wall" / nothing fancy place for sure, but been coming here for 9yrs...always the same tasty and flavorful quality food. "Pong", the owner, always remembers what I like and gets it's served fast and hot“

“Really tasty dinner. Got the curry, brown rice, and cashew chicken. Felt like they were really watered down which also kept the flavors from being as strong which was disappointing because I did appreciated the spice.
Also asked for hot and felt it was more of a mild. Worth going to nonetheless“

“Abundant vegetables made so much of this meal pop. The summer rolls felt like a hand salad, with plump and fresh shrimp, and a peanut sauce popping with robust flavor. Mee kow spicy noodles danced with salty sweet umami, and deliciously painful runny nose level spicy at the requested 7 out of 10 spice level. The brown rice with our green curry was nutty. The duck they used was the barbeque type; Works great. The service was extremely attentive, belying that these are professional palate pleasers. $100 before tip paid for enough to feed generous dinner to two hungry hikers with yummy leftovers enough for our lunch tomorrow. What a fabulous meal!!“

“I have there 4 times and never disappointed. I’ve tried different dishes and they are the best Thai food. The chef even came to my table and asked if my dish was to my satisfaction as they made a special sauce as I was a vegan.“

“Recently ordered just the pho broth and veggies. Veggies were packed separately include the hoisin and chilis! Broth was flavorful and hot!
I have been going to this place since it first opened. The food, service and family is amazing and wonderful and the consistency has never changed.
Thank you for serving the Big Island all these years and in the future!“

“The food is fantastic. Love the friendly helpful staff that always makes you feel so great. I make this a weekly stop and just wish it was open mare then just Fri. sat. And Sunday.“
