Great if you are there for sunset, just average if you aren’t.The food was good, with all the fish being especially good. We did get a very large, undercooked stem of broccoli that was basically inedible so we didn’t finish it. When we mentioned this to the waiter at the end of the meal, he didn’t seem to care, just said, “Oh, okay” and carried on. Service was also slow, with drinks were ordered right after the starters not coming until we were nearly finished our mains. Considering the prices they are charging, I would expect quicker service. The restaurant was very noisy, which really didn’t add to the atmosphere. It’s a stunning spot to watch the sunset, but that’s the only atmosphere point it would get from me.If you can get a reservation to watch the sunset during your meal, book it. Otherwise, skip it for somewhere else better.
Excellent service, ambiance, and locally sourced synergistic cuisine. Really enjoyed dinner here as the sun set.Kid-friendliness: There were kids here enjoying dinner with family.
So don’t assume this place survives on its pretty sunsets. The Mai Tai was outstanding and had yummy kind of sour foam on the top that really sets it apart. Then there was the Mac nut Mahi Mahi fish that was so good I had to stop and yell into the kitchen a thank you. Service was excellent and then…I left my $100 sunglasses on the table and walked out. Completely forgot. We were surprised to get a call from the hostess about the glasses less than five minutes after we left. I am a frequent traveler and know when something is worth the effort to review, good or bad. You will see only a few reviews from me and even fewer good ones. This place is very well run and does all the little things well too. Definitely worth your time and money. Cheers.

Great food, amazing service and the view can't be beat!Parking: Valet is $5 and they are very quick
Occasionally, when a place is recommended really highly, you come with expectations that unfortunately fall short. That was the case with the Beach House. The location is spectacular and that IMHO the greatest feature. The mahi-mahi entree was a smallish portion but quite tasty. But the lobster fettuccine was the opposite — a decent-sized portion with sufficient lobster and fish, but lacking in flavor with a sauce that lacked consistency. When you’re forking out $60 per entree, quality should be a given. Based on that disappointing entree, and despite it being a celebratory dinner, we chose to forgo dessert. The service was spotty and the noise volume in the restaurant relatively loud. So, go for the cocktails and the sunset view. But perhaps don’t assume it will be a 10 out of 10.

The food was fantastic, the service was excellent. The drinks were good as well. It was a little noisy. But overall a great experience
We went twice. The first time macadamia nut encrusted mahi mahi was excellent. The second time, two days later, it was overstated and overcooked. The atmosphere is amazing! The waiters can get a bit overwhelmed sometimes. A gentleman was our server and he got wrong drink and wrong dinner. I changed drinks but decided not to change dinner because we were in a rush. It’s possible that the level of ambient noise is so high that it is hard for him to hear, not sure.

We have always looked forward to dining here every time we are in Kauai. Unfortunately, we have decided not to return ?The views are amazing, our server was great, but the food was ok. Paying too much money just for ok food. The drinks had very little alcohol , ( no flavor) Sad, we enjoyed coming here every year, we now have to look for a new restaurant.
Was one of the best meals we had in Poipu. Beautiful ambiance right on the beach. Try to book before sunset! Or come for happy hour.I had the lobster fish pasta and it was so delicious. Also had a bottle of wine and split a salad. Service was good. Restaurant was crazy busy filled with people. Highly recommend. Went with family including kids.Kid-friendliness: Had booster seats, high chair, and coloring pages
