Hapa is a good chill alternative for a quiet night; mostly relaxed and generally the place is pretty laid back. Overall staff was super friendly but our waiter was a complete flake (may be his name was Peter(?)) but we received the most help and assistance from the super nice hostess!!
Food - we didn't try any ramen, decided to do most of the smaller bites (pork belly, karaga, salads..we wanted more some small bites and drinks that night) and overall the good was solid!
Drinks - like others have mentioned the place seems to try and pitch that their cocktails were super fancy but keep your expectations to a minimum and you'll be fine. Strange they serve some of the sake's all in a single glass.. just odd they don't have the option to serve hot.
Decent vibe, and would return now 'knowing' what to expect!

Most excellent dining experience in Poipu!!! I almost don’t want to share this in fear that it will cause this place to become too busy. We ate here two night in a row while staying in Poipu. Amazing food (the Curry Ramen!) , drinks(happy hour old-fashioneds with Old Grand Dad 114!)and service. But that’s not even the best part. The ambiance is to die for… open air decadence. Very casual but gorgeous at the same time. Do not sleep on his place!

Located in the Shops at Kukui’ula, this restaurant specializes in ramen and whiskey. Nice view from the second floor balcony, and the whiskey bar looks well stocked. The ramen, however, was disappointing. There wasn’t enough broth, the pork was over cooked, and the veggie condiments were cold and tasteless. Staff was friendly, but it took more than 25 minutes to get our dinner, which was hard to fathom as we were seated at 5:15pm.

We both had curry bowls, one tofu and the other karage and they were delicious. Our waiter, Sage, was super nice and personable. The shopping center is a great spot to walk around as well.

Loved the location and restaurant setup. Edamame was great and non alcoholic drinks were delicious (guava spritzer and tea). I got one of the Miso ramens and it was very very salty and hard to finish. My husband got the karaage curry rice bowl and wasn't a big fan. Wed be willing for try again and try some new items.
Awesome food, loved the curry ramen. Hostess was kind to give us a table with a great view, we really enjoyed our evening here.

Located in the Shops at Kukui'ula. Any time we’re talking “Whiskey and Ramen,’ I’m listening. We’d had the most polite server ever. The ramen was fresh.

This is a really fun concept restaurant. And very well implemented. Our servers were both efficient and gracious. The food was delicious. And we enjoyed the drinks as well. It's a great ambience. I recommend sitting outside if you can.
It has a vegan option indicated on the menu, but I really couldn't finish it because I didn't like it at all. The broth was not very tasty, the mushrooms were too salty, but the thing that really ruins the meal are the noodles: since the normal ones have eggs, they use the gluten-free ones that I think are soy. To be clear, the transparent ones, which not only don't taste like anything, but in the broth they take on a horrible rubbery consistency. I'm so sorry, probably the omnivorous ramen will be great, but the vegan one really needs to be reviewed
We were sat promptly by a very nice and welcoming young lady, sorry we didn't catch her name. Sage was our server and he made very good suggestions when asked. The drinks were very good. We tried the Mai tai and an old fashioned. They had pork buns as a happy hour appetizer. It was amazing. We could have just had those for dinner and been very happy. After that we had ramen. I tried the curry ramen and my husband had the Hapa G ramen. Both were very very good. We plan on going back before our vacation is over.

Service is amazing and so nice, and the atmosphere is great. I ordered the special and it was pretty good but just a little pricey for its taste. Overall good experience though.

I'd say our experience here was a mixed bag.
Staff was friendly. The food was good. Our group enjoyed their meals but didn't love them. We're not ramen aficionados, so perhaps that was the problem. We also experienced an odd issue where the computer had some glitch and we were sent someone else's dishes. It took a minute to figure it all out.
The cocktails here are billed as "ultra premium." That just wasn't the case. From the choice of ingredients, to the preparation, and the presentation, the cocktails here are just average. I'm not saying they are poorly done, they aren't, they just aren't "ultra premium."
The view from the restaurant is great, especially at sunset. Plus the elevated location allows for a nice breeze.

We ordered the ahi and chips and the kitchen gave us brown, over ripe avocado. I realized then that our main course would most likely be equally un- loved. I wish I was wrong but the chicken ka arage curry was un loved by the kitchen as well. The chicken tasted like it was frozen, then microwaved Disappointing. Best to the stick to the delicious family run restaurants
