AMAZING! The food was so delicious and the milkshakes (specifically the adult ones) were excellent. Highly recommend Cool Cat Cafe.
We stopped for a late lunch after snorkeling; service was great & quick, and, as stated above, the food was top notch!
Great environment, excellent food, friendly staff & can’t say enough everything was top notch and next trip back to Maui it’s already on my list to go back and eat at least once maybe a couple times👍

Cool Cat Cafe in Maui was a beloved restaurant in Lahaina, known for its delicious food and friendly service. The cafe was a popular spot for both tourists and locals, with many praising the gluten-free options available. The outdoor seating provided a great atmosphere for people-watching on Front Street, and the rooftop eating space offered a lovely view of the main street. Sadly, the restaurant was destroyed in the Lahaina Fire, along with many other businesses and homes in the area. Its loss deeply impacted the community, as many people lost their livelihoods and homes. Despite its closure, the Cool Cat Cafe remains a cherished memory for those who enjoyed its excellent food and vibrant atmosphere.
Recently, visitors expressed nostalgia for the location on Front Street, calling it one of their favorite spots on Maui. The burgers were praised as top notch, considered the best by many, and the scene may never be the same, but the vibe inside was still described as cool. Some travelers were glad to see the restaurant reopen in Kihei, despite it being a little drive from Napili. They found the food really good and affordable by Maui standards, with the Luna Burger and Baja fish tacos receiving particular praise. The Baja fish tacos were cooked to perfection, with fresh ingredients and a hint of jalapeño in the pico. Customers appreciated the excellent, personable service that kept the right level of attention throughout the meal.
Another visitor shared that they had never dined at Cool Cat Cafe before its move from Lahaina but decided to visit this trip, especially with a coupon offering a free root beer float. The restaurant has a fun, whimsical 50's diner look. They enjoyed the 3-piece Fish & Chips and a Big Wave Golden Ale, and were pleased to be able to take the root beer float to-go after their meal. The place remains very popular for good reasons, offering a nostalgic yet enjoyable dining experience with friendly service.
