This was one of the first places we stopped for dinner after settling into our condo during our vacation. The boardwalk provides easy, scenic access to the restaurant so if you're staying anywhere in the nearby area, this is definitely a place you should try to walk over to one evening. It has beautiful, open air seating with a nice view. The food was really great too! Calamari was served in huge, thick, strips that were super tender. It was so much better than the typical rubbery deep fried calamari rings I've seen at restaurants on the mainland. You can't go wrong with any of the fish options either. We tried four different fish entrees over two separate visits and everything we had was delicious. The drinks are great as well, definitely expensive but also...potent.

We had an absolutely wonderful evening … from the hostess staff to our server to the bussers - everyone was so friendly. The food was exceptional and the Hula Pie topped off a perfect evening.

We only stopped for a couple beers and appetizers. Our waiter Rob, with the handlebar mustache, was not friendly at all. He brought us our appetizers with no silverware or napkins! I had to get up and find another waiter to get us some! The food was good, the view was awesome but service sucked.

Duke Kahanamoku is a Hawaiian legend. He popularized the native sport of surfing which is now a world wide past time and even an olympic event. Speaking of olympics, Duke was a competitive swimmer and was a medalist in the 1912, 1920, and 1924 olympics and even beat the world record at the time for the 100yard freestyle by over 4 seconds! A Native Born Hawaiian, Duke is his given name and not a nickname as many might assume. He came from a prominent hawaiian family with noble ties, who's ancestry roots in close service to the royal families of ancient Hawaii. He himself is a native to Oahu, and specifically Waikiki wear he was able to show off surfing skills along the islands south shores. As an adult he put Hawaii on center stage by his performance in the olympics, and the sport of surfing took off as a result. Duke grew to a ripe old age, being a public figure and even being a movie star! The food is fine, beach view nice, chairs not very comfortable.

Amy, the bartender who took care of us, was friendly, attentive, and professional. superb service. The Cesar Salad with grilled fish was also excellent. The salad was crisp and the fish was cooked perfectly. Highly recommend

Restaurant and bar right on the beachwalk in Kaanapaali. Friendly staff and beautiful view. Breakfast food was delicious. Dukes eggs Benedict had a light and toasted biscuit, smoky shaved ham, perfectly poached eggs, and a hollandaise with just the right amount of acid. The loco moco is traditional - a burger patty on rice with 2 eggs - but they have their own grind and use better cuts to make the patty. The gravy is aslo elevated with Maui onion and mushrooms. I recommend subbing fried rice for white at no charge.

Loved Dukes on Oahu so decided to make a trip here in Maui. Doesn't disappoint. We ate at the bar and they gave us some of the best service the while trip. Cheers!

Delicious food and drink, amazing sunset views while you dine, who could ask for more!Parking: It is quite a walk from the parking lot to the restaurant. You have to walk through the resort, but it is well worth it!

Place was okay. My wife's food was solid. I had the fish tacos and they fell apart instantly, not worth it. The whole place seemed overpriced but not bad.

Excellent fish dishes. Lovely setting. Somewhat of a limited menu. If you are not a fish lover probably not the place for you.
