Via! by Sale Pepe at Whalers Village is a nice spot for a quick Italian bite while walking around Kaʻanapali. We tried the pesto pasta, which was coated in a rich, vibrant basil pesto that gave it a fresh, herby flavor. The rotini held the sauce really well, and it was topped with grated cheese and a sprinkle of chili flakes for a little extra kick. This is their express location, with a full restaurant called Sale Pepe. So you’re getting sit down restaurant quality, not fast food. Hence the price. $8 for a large pizza slice, ~ $20 for pasta.
A local recommended them to us, and told us how they originally were in Old Town Lahaina and were destroyed in the fire.
Via! by Sale Pepe at Whalers Village is a wonderful Italian restaurant offering authentic dishes. Fresh ingredients and made-from-scratch pasta and sauces shine through in their meals. The Romana Style pizza is a standout treat, and the pepperoni slice is absolutely delicious NY-style pizza. They also serve big portions of pasta, such as the rigatoni with parmesan cream and spaghetti, which is made fresh. Located in the food court, it is a quick spot for a bite without the fuss of a sit-down restaurant. The service is very friendly and helpful, offering a solid takeout option with great flavors.
