“God is Amazing! What a gem of a place! The food is amazing! They have the best Stuffed Shrimp Eggs Benedict and they have mouthwatering Coconut Macadamia Pancakes…the best pancakes and benedict I’ve ever had. The service is speedy and friendly. We will definitely be back on future trips.“

“We are Marriott Owners and stayed on property to enjoy the Royal Sonesta amenities. Kukui's bar opened up after their beautiful remodel.while we were there. I shared my thoughts with Anthony, who was the manager on site. Christmas Day was crazy busy and the staff kicked butt and did a fantastic job. Boy, were they hustling and still kept their composure and professionalism! The menu has been refreshed and had many great healthy options. The prices are standard for this type of higher end property. The breakfast menu offered many options and all that we tasted were beautifully plated and very delicious! Yes, there were hiccups, which is expected, but the staff did the best they could. I'm not going to mention what needed to be improved on yet. “We stopped here because it was convenient when we checked out of our day room at the resort. We needed to catch dinner before heading to the airport for a late night (sans meal) flight back to the mainland. The resort is currently in the middle of a major renovation project and it's a challenge to get anywhere, but it was well worth the effort. The restaurant is nicely, but not highly decorated. The area is relatively quiet. Frankly my expectations were not too high when we received a simple, photocopied menu. My wife and I decided to try the Kalua pork sliders. We were quite pleasantly surprised at the excellent taste and quality of that dish. My wife also loved the side order of parmesan fries that we got to accompany the sliders. A desert finished our session there nicely and provided all the nutrition required for the ride home. I am sorry we didn't get a chance to return before departing Kauai.“

“Went to hukilau for 37th wedding anniversary. Oct 15. Was dying for prime rib. Didn’t care about price I wanted Prime rib so so bad. All we get here on Kauai is choice. There is no fat in the meat no marbling and you can’t cut it with a fork. You have to slice every bite. That is choice. And if you’re good with that. Then the rib is great. It was cooked perfectly. But I wanted the prime rib. Prime has fat all thru it and so tender the meat falls apart. Little pieces of fat around the edges and you can see the marbling in the center. I actually asked the waitress what was on my plate (which I have never ever done before) and she said it was prime she even went to the chef to check. He too said it was prime. I have cooked a lot of prime rib in my lifetime so I feel like I know what talking about but I felt like I was being blown off like an unknowing tourist. All I know is that my meat did not look anything like what is in the photo of their prime rib on the website with photos of their menu. Love this place otherwise. Been going there for 30 years. Incredibly nice waithelp and an incredible view for a romantic evening.“

“This place is so much fun for adults and kids. The slide, pool, and activity area is so much fun and they welcome you with open arms. The food and drinks are amazing but…our service was why we kept coming back. Justyna has the best vibe and is so attentive. We recommend this place to everyone that comes to the Poipou area. ?“

“We had an absolutely lovely dinner on the huge patio. Our server Janice was incredibly welcoming and took great care of us. We shared a burrata with heirloom tomatoes and a burger - both were perfect. You can't beat the atmosphere - a view of paradise with music at the perfect volume. Free valet parking too.“

“The Prime Rib was enjoyed by my son-in-law, and I LOVED the Stung Honey Fried Chicken. The coconut shrimp were the perfect accompianment to the King Tiki Mai Thai. My wife loved the Asian Salad, but my DIL thought the Macademia Crusted Mahi Mahi was a bit dry. Service was SPECTACULAR, and the kids menu was extensive - our 3.5 yo grandson loved the grilled cheese sandwich with waffle fries, our 19 month old grandaughter loved the pasta with marinara, and there was also pasta with butter sauce, cheese burger sliders with waffle fries, and chicken tenders with waffle fries. The view of the pool and ocean from under the lanai was also terrific!“
