Ōhelo Café is a hidden gem that offers great food and service. The menu features a variety of delicious dishes, including sizeable portions of ribs with fruity sauce and a guava bacon jam burger with beautifully cooked fish. The dessert sampler is a must-try. This cozy little restaurant attached to a general store has excellent food with great local dishes like the mac pesto pizza with a crispy crust, loco moco with amazing gravy, and the Kalua pork special. Guests enjoy the mango tea, burgers, burrata salad, and the Kauai shrimp with loads of garlic and butter. It is highly recommended, especially after a hike at the national park. Be sure to book in advance, as it gets busy, and take advantage of the available parking spots.
