“This shaved ice shop is very popular on the North Shore among locals, Japanese tourists, and foreign tourists alike. There's always a line, but it's quick because they're quick. As soon as you enter the store, you go to the ``order counter'' where you select the ``size'' (of the shaved ice), ``type (of the syrup)'', and ``toppings''. The staff then writes it on a paper plate and hands it to the cashier. Pay at the cash register.Receive the finished shaved ice.Goods such as T-shirts are on the right hand side, so it seems best to enter from the side.Occasionally, the owner, Stan Matsumoto, will be inside or outside the shop, so be sure to ask him to take a photo with you. If you call out to them and ask them, they will readily respond.Parking: You can use the parking lot of the mall called Haleiwa Store Lots, which also houses Matsumoto Shave Ice.You can use the parking lot at the mall called Haleiwa Store Lots, which also has Matsumoto Shave Ice.“

“We loved this ice cream!! We visited both locations while visiting Oahu. Online downside is in Halewia my daughter had chickens come up to her and she dropped her cone. I have to pay a full $8 to get her a new one even though the chickens were right outside their location....ice cream is worth it, but didn't like paying full price twice for a kids cone!“

“Do you remember hearing about/seeing on the news that a car drove into the window of a gelato bar in Wahiawa? This place is it. Thankfully, the customers who were injured have physically recovered. But had it not been for that incident, I might not have found out about Mia Bella sooner. This locally owned and well-operated business is deserving of 5-stars and is my new go-to for gelato. They have a tiny shop that offers a couple of tables and counter seating. The customer service is what the standard should be for small businesses. It's friendly, personable, welcoming, and helpful. The employees behind the counter always welcome us right away with a smile and are friendly throughout the entire transaction. They offer samples, so if you're unsure you'll like a flavor or not, ask away! Their owner is so welcoming and also appreciative of the support and patronage of the shop. He talks to us like family or friends that he's known forever. They serve smooth and flavorful gelato, including a flavor that's new to me and has quickly become my favorite. Honey yogurt is simple and sweet. I also enjoy black sesame. Their black sesame has a distinct hint of ginger, more noticeable than other gelato shops. A couple of my family's favorites are cookies and cream and birthday cake. They top your gelato off with a piece of waffle cone. Hope you get to check out Mia Bella. I doubt you'll be disappointed.“

“The best ice cream I’ve had in my life period. I’m a die hard cookies and cream fan, and I used to purchase a pint and a scoop on a cone almost every week for 4 years when I lived on the island. No matter what, whenever I’m back I go here. Exceptional service, fresh food, clean establishment and a chill vibe.If you are on Oahu, drive here and get a scoop before you try dessert anywhere else on the island.Eating a scoop from here truly is paradise!“

“Ice cream was amazing and the service was exceptional for such a busy hotspot. The gelato was of great quality, it reminded me and my partner of Sicilian ice cream, which is a huge compliment! I personally loved the biscoff flavoured ice cream the most.We will definitely be coming back soon :)“
“5-26-23 since we were in Wahiawa I asked hubs the driver if after my brows appointment if we could come here. A car was parked right in front and the back parking was full. You might need to find street parking. So glad we came. There was a bunch of people enjoying theirs on the outside side bench and a family of 3 before me.I ordered two regular sized with honey dew, strawberry and vanilla. Very pretty colors and equally delicious and refreshing afternoon treat. The taste is like happiness. Still reminds me of guriguri on Maui. Not boldly flavored but just enough to give your tongue and roof of your mouth a happy dance. Can't wait to bring Doc here so she can enjoy this cold treat too.“
“Previously (like over a decade ago) while in Haleiwa, 90% of the time I'd go to Matsumoto's and 10% Aoki's. A friend told me to come here instead since the line isn't as long and the shave ice is just as good as the aforementioned or even better. I will occasionally go to Matsumoto's but this has been my shave ice spot. The shave ice is fine, the syrup flavors are good and I just find it easier to find parking here. The restrooms are also easier to access.“

“I love stopping here:) my favorite dish is the panko crusted mahi with lilikoi tarar sauce. So good! Great vibes too. Lots of seating, generally nice service. Love the title too?Kid-friendliness: Kid table and a place to read books while waiting for food! Love bringing my young niece and nephew here for a loco moco:)“
