Decided to stop in for pizza & we were not let down! Absolutely delicious food & drinks. We are staying at the Hilton next door & refuse to pay for the highly priced, sub-par food they serve. Do yourself a favor & venture out of the resort to give this location a chance, I'm positive you will not be let down. Planning on stopping in one more time before leaving the island!

Good food at reasonable prices. It's kind of a sports bar with lots of TVs. If there is a game on, it can be noisy. Great beer selection from Hawaiian breweries. Live music Sat night.

Parking: Parking area is dark.
Across the road from Hilton Waikoloa.

Not sure why people don’t rate this higher and it’s only 4.0. Highly recommend. Great food and great drinks! I think it’s definitely worth the time to come and check this place out.

Enjoyed this place so much we came for 2 dinners in a row! 808 pork plate blew my mind and this may be the best Mac salad I’ve had. Our server was also incredibly nice and welcoming. Definitely recommend if you are staying nearby, laid back atmosphere and great place to catch a football game

We had lunch and sat at the bar on a Monday. The selection of beer on tap is great. Laina was our server, and she was fantastic! We’re staying at the Hilton next door but the food and service here is a so much better. Laina only works two days a week but, if you can catch her, she’s really the best.

We've been on the island 5 days, and this is the best meal we've had so far, undoubtedly. Nothing fancy. It's an Ale House. But the food tasted good. It was recommended by a shuttle driver, and a very short walk from our resort. There are very few restaurants in the area, and the others have "resort" prices. For the price, I can eat here everyday. Wife had the garlic shrimp - tasty! I had the kalua pork sandwich with onion rings. It looked so plentiful, I forgot to take a picture. I can't wait to come back for the loco moco. Service was slow and unorganized, so if you're in a hurry, you'll be disappointed. And they were out of a few beers too.

We really enjoyed our meal at the Tropics Ale House. I had fish and chips and my husband had a burger. The beer selection was good and we especially liked the fries. Highly recommend!

In all seriousness, we spent 5 days on the island and to say that we are sad to have discovered it on our last day is an understatement! We ate at a number of places both on and off the property and none of them were as good as Tropics. From the Bistro, to L&L, to burgers and even Dominoes, Tropics beat them all and reminded us the most of home. They were small, quaint, and had a great view of the surrounding golf course. They offered a small but comforting menu that had something even the vegetarian of the group could enjoy (seriously, she wanted to go back twice in one day for the artichoke dip!) We bragged about the restaurant all the way home and told the bellmen that this was the place to promote! Mahalo and thank you for having us!!
