So many bad experiences here, where do I start? Service staff has very little experience and/or managers do not support them correctly. Forgotten drinks, absolutely NO prebussing… who hired these people? Extremely inefficient staff and what’s worse is they close down for private events sometimes and if you drive up and ask valet if Birdcage is open they say “I don’t know, go check” fml this place is a total joke. Not worth it!

The Birdcage Japanese Grill is tucked inside a stunning resort a little inland. The architecture is beautiful, and it is called the bird cage because they have live birds that reside in the rafters of the roof covering. This is a great place to watch the sunset and grab a cocktail or meal. With sweeping views of the Maui coast line, a decadent menu, and artfully designed atmosphere and architecture, the atmosphere, food and service are top tier. Beautiful, well made cocktails and delicious bites are served. The French fries are out of this world, and the crab roll was amazing with very unique flavors. The cinco de Mayo specialty drink and an old fashioned with rye whisky were very good. Between the food and the atmosphere, it is one of the best dining experiences, a truly magical experience all around. The birds are fun to watch.
