Really excellent food — I had gyudon, which was about as good as I’ve had anywhere. The egg was perfectly cooked; and the beef was tasty, thin and proportioned well. The rice was excellent—every grain was perfectly cooked. The prices were high, but the quality stood up to the scrutiny that necessitates.
Been here many times, always excellent service and food. Don't be deterred by the food court setting; it is the best Japanese food around! Owners are so humble and polite, and will help you with a smile even as they're trying to close up at the end of their day. The food was delicious, it arrived quickly, and the people working there were very kind, so I'm glad I ate there. I ordered udon and it had a nice texture and I thought it was the most delicious Japanese dish on the Big Island of Hawaii. If I ever come back from Maui, I'll definitely go there!
