My husband and I are visiting from California. We are avid sushi lovers. Sushi Hana was hands down the BEST sushi we’ve ever had. So incredibly fresh, there is nothing like it. The owner is so sweet and how much she genuinely loves the restaurant shows. The sushi chef is incredibly talented. If we ever come back to the big island this will be our first stop!
We LOVE Sushi Hana so much we will go 3x in 2 weeks this trip! MAKE SURE you get reservations on Open Table. This is a change it USED TO BE first come. The Sushi is of the highest level we have ever had. Cannot recommend enough!

Sushi Hana is a restaurant that serves sushi of the highest level, according to reviews. The sushi is incredibly fresh and amazing, with some of the best Nigiri ever had. The beef Udon is also incredible. The owners, who are one Chef and one Server, are sweet, kind, open, and friendly, and they show genuine love for the restaurant. The sushi chef is incredibly talented. The experience is unique, a journey of flavors, and not a traditional restaurant. It is intimate and well taken care of. Reservations are recommended on Open Table, as it used to be first come and they are often fully booked. Come prepared to wait to be seated, but it will be worth it.
