Upon entering this restaurant, I was received with an attitude of neglectful indifference. However, rather than turning around and leaving, I was pleasantly surprised to see that an effort had been made to improve the food line presentation. Although, the hand written price altered signage was illegible. Upon ordering Mungo, I was informed that it was sold out but then a container from behind the line was presented and scraped along the sides to produce a small crusted over serving of what should have been added to the garbage bin. Unexpectedly, it was placed in a small serving dish and microwaved for reheating. Without realizing the scraps were intended for me, I had already ordered a different item, served with rice. Both dishes were presented on a tray to a cashier who proceeded to ring up what seemed an excessive charge. Famished and without complaint, I regrettably paid for what turned out to be a most disappointing meal. Initially, it was served cold and had to be returned for another microwave visit. Due to less than friendly staff, coupled with overpriced, below average food quality, I'll not be returning to Kambingan since there are so many better options. To each his own!

Brings back the nostalgia of classic Filipino foods. I don't know what's up with the negative reviews but I love them!

It is a nice place. The unfortunate thing is that these types of restaurants no longer offer combo meals. You pay for each food item. A 1/2 lb cup of a dish costs between $6.75-7.75. A scoop of rice is $1.75. The rice scoops are pretty small, so you probably want two. That means a two-item combo will cost $17 minimum.

I called to place a phone order 3× of Pancit mix @3pm. I was told that it will be ready by 5 & when I got there 10 after 5 I asked " if my order was done? " I was told to wait 15-20 more minutes & to make things even worse, several cashier's asked me if I paid for it already? When everything was fully paid in cash when I got there.

Every time we come here we're so happy with everything! Goat delicious, pork adobo yummy, my husband loves the pinakbet, turon perfect delicate crisp with appropriate thin drizzle of syrup, BEST halo halo I've had on the island, and generous serving sizes. Kind service every time we've been there. Mahalo!

I come here for their yummy desserts! Cascaron, tupig, puto with cheese and royal bibinka are a few of my faves. Prices are pretty reasonable too!

I was craving some Filipino food and looked inside Filipino Express. The place reminds of the food stands in Chinatown with a variety of precooked food. You choose what you want and they charge you according to your selection. So I ordered all kinds of things (don't go looking for food when you're hungry lol) and surprisingly they were all good like home cooked meals. They even have vegetables for sale in the middle of the restaurant!

Worst f****** service ever. They were due for a catering at 1pm for my nephew's 1st birthday birthday last night and they ended up coming at f****** 6pm. No apologies, no heads up, no compensation whatsoever for their wrong doing. F*** you guys! You all should reevaluate what your idea of proper business ethics is, clearly a bunch of idiots who don't know s*** about business 101.

Gave this place 3 chances since it was the most convenient place to grab manila bananas, hoping for a better experience with every try but nope. Absolutely terrible costumer service. They left customers standing at the cash register to either pick up the phone, talk to a coworker (for more than 2 mins), and everything else that they found more important than the customer in front of them. The lack of communication is disgusting. Absolutely rude, inconsiderate, and unprofessional but honestly what would you expect from a place as dirty and cheap looking as it is.

***Pre COVID-19 Visit*** My co-worker took me here before and he was raving about the goat. He's had it several times, but I didn't try it. I've had the chop suey and it was really good. It goes well with some hot steamed rice with soy sauce so I highly recommend it. They also have several items such as sinigang, igado, menudo, caldereta, etc. I don't remember the restaurant getting too crowded during lunch time, but you still want to get there right when it opens so the food is fresh. Mahalo!
