Kambingan | Filipino Express Restaurant offers authentic Ilocano food that reminds diners of home-cooked meals in the Philippines. The restaurant serves dishes like pork adobo, pinakbet plate, pork guisantes, Lauya, kalding, inabraw, adobo, kilawin, fried silet (intestines), freshly made pancit, and Papaitan. Desserts include halohalo, casscaron, banana lumpia, bico, puto cheese, patupat (purple rice wrapped in banana leaf), and tupig. The pork adobo is super fatty, delicious, and tender. The pinakbet is flavorful, but some wished for more squash and meat. The pork guisantes meat was pretty tough. The halohalo is huge, but some wished it was sweeter. The casscaron and banana lumpia are amazing. The puto cheese and patupat are both good. The tupig was just okay. The food is served hot and tasty. They do not have a menu and only serve 1-2 choice plates under $20, plus side dishes. Servings are BIG. Staff are super friendly, with sweet aunties and Filipino titas serving. The restaurant is super clean. Service is good, fast, and simple. There are lots of tables to dine at and a decent sized parking lot right in front of the building. They offer take out, delivery, and vegetarian options like fried eggplant, fried eggplant with egg, and fish soups with veggies.
